cnbc debating qe3 or not qe3.

another $30 + friday for gold and starting to move higher again
ucad breached .98

sooner or later it has to reverse

so is it obama or mitt?
is it ben save the day with some form of qe3 on his last few months of his term if obama loses.
if ben saves the day does mitt keeps him on?
what will happen?

Anway foto, as you were talking about how you watch all the markets and how QE is not that important. I believe that is not true and you may actually see it right now.

It is not only private sector who is sitting tight right now, it is investment banks, everybody. Big bets have already been placed and now they are only awaiting crash to buy cheap. This is why any sign of additional "free" cash is the only thing that moves the markets. So actions of CBs really are, what is moving market right now.

Tom,
I live near a small harbor and just last weekend was out doing some crabbing. A fellow that once worked for me came paddling by in a Kayak. We chatted, turned to politics, I said to him Jimmy just look out across this bay, look at all the wealth here, how could this Nation of ours be going broke if it wasn't for the shear magnitude of waste.

So I will remain a USD bull going forward, it will take so little to turn the tide for this Nation, but it will take someone with enough smarts to know up from down.

Price couldn't touch 1.0400 so far.
I am not saying there won't be some other attempts to hit it again.
But this is your MM to use those movements in your favour.

Tom, QE is a negative for business decision makers. Those in positions of calling the money shots are also old enough to remember the Carter years and Volker and the aftermath of Arthur Burns. It is seared in the minds of these people after having gone through the agonies it entailed.

Whether or not it is valid as to outcome in todays world, the Gold Bug movement started back then, it is a crescendo now. Business people make decisions based upon life experiences not what a bunch of theory spouting fools at the Fed may have to say. So we have paralysis for now until the election. No one will risk a lifes work because of these trollops at the Fed.

Does QE move markets, sure, but is it moving them in the desired way.
NFP today says it is not, no matter what the programed trading platforms say.

hi Halkins and ken,

there's alot of china data coming over the weekend.
1.04 is very achievable but 1.0420-1.0440 is big resistance.
that's the point i see the retracement coming but if this qe3 or eu hopium happens then au should go hgher.

...But I have been wrong before, like with today's NFP numbers...although I feel that regardless of what it came out to be, it wouldn't have been bullish for $ before next week's FOMC.

BANG - BANG!
First target hit and now my breakeven point moved above 1.0400.
So now my trade is 100% secured.
I have exposed my account on 3% risk for 15minutes only.
If price breaks though 1.04 I am on BE, if not I can keep it 1000pips down,hehe...
Who says falling knives aren't funny?

If it comes, it will come a bit later. However, it could just as easily rally into NY close. Today the dealer pulled 5 jokers from his sleeve. Everything is smoke and mirrors. Next week's German constitutional court ruling and FOMC meeting will decide when this turd of a pair is going to where it belongs.

day is done hard to trade now with beautiful summer day outside.u
you have range next week from monthly pivot to about 1.0280. but i think we are heading north for now and a little consolidation also.
