Was lon from 1,2668 to 1,2750. Now I'm long from 1,2761 to 1,2820. Maybe it works out...

And I remember Stephen Story said one of his students 56x (5500% increase) his account the first month (then lost it all later).

The question is, why can't they maintain the consistency?

If you're keeping to a method/strategy that works, how could you possibly have such a long losing streak?

Maybe baby but someone sure knew (market makers) beforehand NFP, there was so dramatic reloading in cable.

Sick market, some people have too much advantage. Retails traders have much more work to figure out by themselves.

Cuz the market is not consistent. All systems are proned to fail in the long run unless the trader learns to adjust and adapt as the market changes. May I ask 5500% of how much? It's easy to use outrageous leverage on a $500 and turn it into 27k. But it's a different story to be using that kind of leverage on a 500k or 5M acct. Percentages mean nothing without the dollar amount.

I've considered this, but I've also considered that the market doesn't really CHANGE, does it?

It's always going to be either ranging/consolidating or trending at any given time?

Even if it's not a steep trend, and there are big retracements after each leg ("3 steps foward, 2 steps back" type of deal) you should still be able to see that.

It seems to me that, scalping in particular, trades should be based on recent market behavior each and every time you are trading. So you should already be adjusting to the market every single session.

As long as the market follows a pattern (and in the absence of any major news, it SHOULD the majority of the time), you should be identifying the pattern AS it happens, not basing it on what has happened in the past.

That's why I don't understand how traders could have entire months/years in the red. It's mind-boggling.

Not sure, he just mentioned it in one of his YouTube videos as a cautionary tale for inevitable failure (which doesn't really make Forex seem all that glamorous).
