I'd imagine some here could be well over 150pips combined today.
It *is* difficult to do until you do it a few times. It took me a long time to know when to do it and when to just take the money and run,so to speak. It depends on the PA.

Trading is not easy, and it takes a lot of practice and screen time, but as with most things in life, if you stick at it and practice for long enough, you'll get to be reasonably good at it. I want to be *very* good at, so I to have a long way to go as yesterdays poor trading by me shows!!

It was mentioned not 4h trend but Weekly trend. As soon as it will be FAKE brakout it will be very strong signal for down movement.....

I was referring only to the fact that the STOCH 15M was already positioned too high, while the 5M was OK.
I have not made ​​the trade because of the STOCH 15 because other times it was pointed out that this position is not advised a Buy. It 'also true that if it remains at the top can mean a continuation of the trend.

For me though, I left my Sl at +1 because my target was R1. When R1 was broken I moved my SL to just under R1, and took aim at R2. By the time R2 was reached the PA had exceeded it ATR so I though I would exit the trade at R2 and not try for R3 today.

If you take a quick look at an H1 chart, you can see a very strong bull run has been going for some time now.....so it reasonable to expect the PA to continue, and therefore is worth the risk......and remember.....the risk was getting knocked out...

Did you buy EA on the retest of pivot or was it the original breaching closer to the frankie opening. Also when certain level gets breached (ie. R1 today) what makes you decide to stay in the trade and what makes you get out. If PA had come back closed beneath R1 would you have closed out.

When using M5 and M15 Stox, I always first look to see what the M15 is doing and I will wait until it has gone into OS/OB territory and is joined in the same area by the M5 Stox (the 4 yellow circles).

The trades (my comments are based on your chart and on all the indicators that you are using):

1) M5 and M15 Stox rising from OS + Genesis Long signal + bounce off S2 + M15 Matrix already has 1 blue dot (you know that the M15 TVI would have been blue then because it was the 3rd blue already: 3 x M5 = 1 x M15). All good + small SL (< 20 pips) -----> Take the trade.

2) M15 coming down from OB, M5 doing the same, PA rejection of WeeklyPivot (WP), Genesis short signal... so all good to take a short? Yes & No as there are a few close-by 'issues' and this is where you have to weight the + against the - and make a decision:
.the 60 SMA providing support?
.S1 that was twice resistance could now be support (green arrows)
.the M15 matrix is still ALL BLUE (X)

3) I wouldn't have taken this trade for 3 reasons although it turned out to be another really good one:
.M15 Stox still in OB territory
.M5 Stox very close to OB and did not go into OS territory again beforehand
.WP that got rejected earlier was only a few pips away.

Entirely clear, in fact I made ​​the trade one for all the reasons that you may express.
I ran instead the trade 2 because I saw the closure under S1 and STOCH 15 began to fall and was in good position STOCH 5m short.
I then closed in loss to 3 bar over S1.

I did not take the trade Stoch 15 3 because I did not like. He then found a great trade, but talking about 'after' is of little use.

Thanks again lost time to explain, but sometimes I get angry because setup are similar in gain and loss in others, and until there is nothing strange because so goes the market, but what disturbs me most is that sometimes the position an indicator (Stoch, DP, WP etc.). justifies the loss, other times the same indicators justify the profit like a logical thing.

I like to understand where is mistake that where I win, because the coin does not interest me, but believe me, many times I come to opposite conclusions perfectly which makes me angry. Finally, I do not think an expert like many of you, but I am a person who operates 'a while' in shares and options, while it is just that I'm working with Forex, so some basic notion is already present.

Could be good reasons to join or wrong?

You shouldn't get angry and bad trades are not always mistakes: even with a really good setup your SL can get hit before the market turns your way (that is just the way trading is).

Trade 3 was one of those examples: it had a lot going for it and all the reasons that you mentioned in favour of the long trade were valid.
At that point the market presented every traders with the same question: is EU about to turn back down and shall I take the next short signal, or will the next long Genesis signal be a good opportunity to re-enter the newly-formed long trend?

In that situation, when M15 Stox is staying OB (showing long strength), I like to see the M5 Stox resets itself & go all the way down to OS territory first before I consider a Long re-entry. On this occasion, M5 Stox didn't go OS so I did not enter but this post about RJ's long EA trade is a very good example of what I look for for a re-entry continuation trade (the M5 Stox is in blue, M15 is yellow & M30 is orange)

Yes of course I had already read the post RJ. The thread I've read many times (I also like to read), but mine was just an outlet because they are aware that even with everything and everyone prepared for long or short, the market goes in the opposite direction and no one can do anything about it . This is the battlefield .........

Sorry for the slow reply....I went to sleep!

Yes I entered EA on the pivot re-test.

The reason I stayed in this trade and not exit on the little pullback is simply because the EA trend is strong, so it was not such a big risk to do so.

Conversely, I exited and re-entered on EU (see my chart earlier), because there is no strong trend so the PA could have reversed at that pullback, so I exited, and then re-entered when the bull run continued.

maybe this will help:

1. beginning of day, look at CSM to choose pairs to play. if you don't want to then just open EU and EJ since they have the cheapest spreads. (planning your entry)

2. look at the fxpivots:
wide = high probability of range bound = activate scardie cat mode
narrower or pivots much closer together (than yesterday, especially the day before) = high probability to trend; breaking 3 pivot prices in 1 go = activate patient mode (planning your exit)

exception: today we have EU interest rate announcement and the fxpivots are wider than yesterday's.

TP: pivot prices
SL: swing high/low

emergency exit strategy 1: SMA60 cross, and if you want to wait for M5 bar to close below/above SMA60 that is opposite your position. that's right, oli! i use it as filter for entries because PA bounces off of it. if it breaks it then the direction has changed. if it chops through it then PA is ranging. plus it provides support/resistance for re-entry positions.

emergency exit strategy 2 (SL / trailing stop loss): M15 opposite arrow comes sooner than your swing high/low. which actually makes SL a lot more affordable. (without filtering pairs to use) there were 3 consecutive days in April and May that SL's were hit simultaneously in EU and EJ. those were heavily ranging days like monday's 25 ATR for EU. however, the losses were less than 30pips total per day. often SL is between 9-19 pips including regular spread. 30 pips is 3% of your running balance if you expose 1% per trade. therefore, you don't exit prematurely or let your losses run loosely (assuming you are trading with the trend).

RJ, could you also tell us, what are your ways to determine market liquidity? Only pivs and news? CSM?
could be in a very tight range today until the ECB conference, something to consider and be cautious of.
