Having foresight is indeed a valuable attribute in life, bit it'll do you absolutely no good whatsoever trading forex. I do't need foresight to trade, because everything I need is visible on my screens. Foresight implies that you know, or think you know what is going to happen before it happens, and that is a path straight into the graveyard of traders past. Intuition can play a part, but that only comes after many more years than most of us have been trading here.

you have to scratch your head over these spikes based on ECB speculation..... especially when it does not really matter....

think about it, even if the ECB can (I use that term because legally they may, but politically they may not) buy bonds and as many as they like... guess what it doesn't make a damn difference to anything...

so the ECB buys lots of bonds to solve spain, greece etc (short term but only fiscal austerity will do it long term), and they get the money from?? oh yes thats right EU countries, so the net EU borrowing actually increases as they charge each other interest they can't afford to pay on the money borrowed and the bonds...

all that has achieved is to make the better countries like Germany - worse off as the debt gets spread about, and the overall EU debt goes up....

ummm so even if it all works like ECB want it's still worse to come not better - so the good old euro will still go down not up.......

and the action only buys a little extra time for Greece, spain etc to control their spending and get working before it all goes bang - but as I said at the expense of the better countries.

I am certainly no expert in these matters but that is the best sense that I can make of it....
