Well I wouldn't go that far but I certainly believe that it was a plan to dump the risk outside the US banking system and even that didn't work out too well. Imagine what would have happened had they not had such a plan.

Not to mention all the Home Equity Credit Lines...i cant tell you how many people i know who had their homes re-appraised every 6 to 12 months so they could cash out their equity while still living in their homes.
Tho, i guess swissy and his friends enjoyed the fincancial benefits of all those Americans visiting Europe with those funds
