DislikedIf price approaches a recent S/D area and then passes through it completely unaffected, would you then, from a trading perspective, ignore that SD area when price approached it again in the future?

DislikedIf it was a fresh demand zone for example and price passed straight through it (which we wouldn't expect) then this is termed 'ignored demand' and it stands a higher chance of acting as supply once price has broken through.
The theory being that strong demand being overcome means supply is even stronger and thus we'd expect that strong supply still to be present on the retrace.Ignored

....additionally, does elapsed time have any effect on the validity of a SD zone, e.g. say a zone dates back several months or years but has not been revisited by price since then?Ignored
DislikedPeople have different views on this.
I prefer zones that don't have months between them as I prefer zones that are fresh in the mind of short term traders and am not that fussed on zones that I have to scroll back months to view.
But I know others will have different view points.Ignored
