Unless midnight tonight is the end of the world, the EUR PMI figures will be released tomorrow.

it dosent take a genius to know that the euro is gonna plummet. im a series 7 broker with everyone buying spanish bearer bonds recently they may raise interest rate by .15-.25 percent to account for all the bond buying.

heee almoo, are you fine? still maintaining my heavy short in 2 points from price medium 1.2615...what´s your sentiment?

I´ve told this on August 23th...was the best way for this type of trading:

Did you misprint something by chance?


If everyone is buying Spanish bonds, that would suggest there is adequate demand for them, thus interest rates should be dropping.

Now, if there was no interest in buying them....raising them would make a lot more sense.

Hey xandi...doing well. Been selling my longs and reacquiring them as price has dropped, current avg price 1.2563. I'll continue this rinse/repeat throughout the night until the PMI numbers, where I'll keep adding to the overall position until we reach 1.27xx.


I see you've had multiple opportunities to do the same on the short side. I hope it worked out for you.

Yes but in an introduction in a trading book I have the author talks about a summer internship years ago he had at the Bank of England, Gilt-Edged/Money Markets Division.

He and another colleague had access to the next day's August inflation number. He speculated a guess what it was before the colleague said to him:

"I think you will be surprised to find that it will actually be much higher" "On that basis" he asked "how do you think the market will react?"

They obviously did not trade on it and a good thing because not only would they be breaking the law they would have lost.

I said bearer bonds so no typo. As for your other comment on spanish bonds you are totally wrong in raising them lol. Rates are so attractive right now getting an awesome return they are totally in demand! Are you crazy raising them now! Who do you think is gonna buy them thursday lol.

That's a good story...oneworth remembering.

I've one one for you.....The Tree and the Gourd.


One spring day, a might oak which must have been alive for about 120 years, found itself getting rapped up by a Gourd. The tree was easily 80 feet tall, yet the tree found itself face to face with the Gourd by mid Summer.

The Gourd says to the tree " Look at you...you've taken so long to reach these heights, but it only took me one spring! Clearly I am better adapted to this climate, and will eventually overtake you.


The Tree says to the Gourd - "Alas, your not the first Gourd I've had this discussion with, and by Winter, you'll be dead because you have shallow roots."


I try to remember the meaning of this every trading day.

The above banks are right. I think we see 1.10 within a year or two. Depends on how Greece's exit goes. And if Italy, Spain, Portugal, etc leave with Greece.

Bearer bonds work the same as any other.

Buying reduces rate, selling increases rate.

Series 7, yeah right.
