stupid gold... hit my SL and changd direction within 0.05 cents! Maybe if I use options I can pinpoint where price will change directions and have two accounts lol..

Since our bucket shop retail forex brokers have to hedge their positions before going to market that means your SL is someone else's TP (bank or broker)... this means stop loss hunting. So when your margin call or SL is set in your mt4 this info is available to broker/bank who take other side of your trade.

Now use another view of the market maybe binary options and take the trade when your SL is hit... use proper money management on both accounts.. or use options on the stock exchange. I think there is an edge there. You can try it.

Whenever I trade gold and SL is hit price usually changes direction almost to the pip... strikingly familiar situation with others I bet.

I should add that I dont use SL around S/R its always random away from S/R...

This might be a good place to get short if you think BB is not going to do anything. Although even the charts say wait 45 min. So you might as well wait for BB anyway.





This was a good spot to get short. 2617. Too bad I didnt take my own advise. Everyone have a good weekend.

As for silver, well, the technicals are all in place. Test of the monthly trendline yielded a bounce to where we are now, and we are currently sitting through the last down trend.

Nearly naked chart none of my fancy EMAs, no 13 fib or 78.6 or 88.6. Maybe I'll post one of those later for comparison.

Gold 1625 - as low as that? its currently 1692, and looks like it may goto - i dunno - 1715 ? - but why?
you think will go up much past 1700?
and next week down to 1660 ?

i shorted at 1686, -
someone here said silver will go up now, maybe 40.

Yea doesnt have to retrace... toomuch printing going on. But it hit an MM here at 1687 and the target is 1625 but might only get half way aswell... 1650 looked pretty strong... other than taking my sl at 1645 which was stop hunting by the idiot banks. I had 1635 if 1650 broke but what can you do?

Missed a $45 trade.. just how it goes.

Hey, guys... about the ~2620/40 ---> 2400 thing: if you talk loud enough and long enough about a prediction, it has a good chance of not coming true ... esp. in FX. (of course if you don't trade real money, maybe it DOESN'T MATTER to you)

great place to short, but i was concerned about enough cash for stop loss adjustment up to 1.2740, and if was going to there - i needed to buy and make money on way. so didnt do that trade.
Question - will it go down to 1.2480 first and (1.2440 ) before going up to 1.2640 ? or are you saying 1.2740? Is that it? or maybe goto 1.2740 first from here?

Huh I've made 3 trades today with low leverage. I was deadwrong on all 3 trades, thank god I was smart and didn't risk almost anything. I've lost only 0,8 % of my account.

I have periods when I make 20 green trades and then 3 red trades in a row...

I know this is part of this business but I was stupid and when prices declined or went up I didn't enter into the position. After that I was just scalping and failed miserably.

But I've predicted one thing, QE3 wasn't announced and price didn't fall significantly. That was too good to be true (it was so predicatble that market makers will employ such a trap).

Euro should fall to some extent in september. My bias is short as usual.

Does that mean Gold doesn't have to go down? - from reading I thought you expected gold to go down - but will it go down now? or go up further and come back 1-3 weeks later? or are you saying it may stay at 1700 + ?


Bummer about missing that trade, its bad when you do the work and miss out.
It was a huge spike, - totally controlled to knock out any people with trades opened to try and take advantage of the volatile market. I couldnt believe the size of swing.
