Hi RJ - I have traded for some years and not been a big fan of pivots but I am currently re=looking at this just in case I have missed something.

Could you tell me exactly what you consider is the Daily Pivot level at London Open on EU. today Aug 29.2012

Noticing some earlier comments I have whenever I used them used the SDX pivots because of their flexibility but that also means you must have correct inputs and I have not used for years.

I am also using CCI as I am accustomed to it and will monitor in relation to the 11.3.3 Stoc for some time and see how we go. My chart is attached but some higher time frame stuff not showing on 30 M

The Pivots last for the whole day, and are all listed here...just be sure to select the 'Daily' tab

When i set TimeFrame in MTF arrow to 180 (3 hours), my MT4 doesn't respond for a long time. Even when it responds again, i don't see any arrows in my chart. Is this a known issue? My latop has dual core 4G ram.

Quite possibly because there is no 3 hour chart. Try 240 or 60

If "Yes" that means i dont understand this system. Why? Because many times i have read here how important is confirmation before entry
1. waiting for retest of any pivot /reverse pattern/
OR
2. breaking last high,low/continuation pattern/ ... post No.3056 page 204.

In your example we dont have any kind or retest.

Actually I took a reversal trade on EA instead, but it amounts to the same thing.

The reversal/retest etc etc is not part of the system....lets be quite clear on that because I have never said that it is. The retest of pivots and other s/r levels is something that happens in the markets, and it's got nothing to do with Genesis, or any other system.

The pivot or other s/r level retest is something that all traders will be aware of but it is not a guarantee because there IS no guarantees in FX trading.

Now.....to the EU reversal. As in many cases, the same yesterday, the PA will simply bounce off the pivot, s/r level. In this instance, there was no retest but there was stochastics very well positioned (both M5 and m15), a complete Matrix signal, the yellow 5 ema turned up, the candles opened clear of the ema......even had the arrow. All combined give a strong signal to enter the trade as explained on Page 1.

Nope.....Waited to see if it would retest for confirmation and got left behind! These things happen, unfortunately.

itsallover is not around. you must have already bailed out with your trailing SL on UJ (which allowed you to close in green) so itsallover left why not, right?

But in this case PA broke the DP (ending below) and many other occasion has been declared as confirming the continuation of the trend. In this case, however, he turned and went where we saw. Many times I marvel at logic with which it is stated,
the pivot is broken, it is obvious that the trend continues
other times (like today) back and it is equally logical that a rebound.
I would also like to add that just before there was an arrow in 15 Min short, so the trend could be interpreted as down.
I understand that no one has a crystal ball, but what can be confusing is the search for the rationale of a movement already happened.
Notwithstanding the goodness of Genesis (not cabierei with anything).

i think we consider a piv level broken when we have an HH OPEN above/below..in this case piv was breached, not broken

No, the pivot wasn't broken. No candles opened under the pivot. It's outrageous to believe that the PA will stop exactly on the pivot right down the extract pips!!!

If the pivot was broken, then candles would have opened clear under the pivot, and in such a case a retest would have been likely......not definite, but likely.

What we had was a strong bear move that the pivot stopped..... *with a few pips slippage*, before it reversed.

Also, the was no was M15 arrow short.....have another look at the chart I posted,
