Good evening everybody, I thought after a long abstinence from trading to start contributing to this thread by introducing a High Probability Kumo Breakout strategy.
This is a setup that I modified based on a powerful strategy that was proven earlier and added some tweaks from different contributors like fxripper and legalindo (thanks to both).
It's quite simple but its strength derives from the confirmations that I have included.

Great stuff which I have neglected some time ago. It makes me open my
eyes when I read the PDF carefuly again.
I must say thank you very much for your contribution, Lbtrader, although I've been inactive for long time and could not read this message.
Accept as it is being!

Whats up? No one uses ichimoku's anymore?
What is any ocean but a multitude of drops?

I still use it full time, just sad that the thread is a bit dead. Would love to talk to more people trading Ichi. We should try and keep this alive.

Hi!

I used ichimoku, recently at AUDUSD, H4 TF. First PA broke Kijun, that was a sell signal. Later, Tenkan crossed down Kijun, that was another confirmation. I was happily put some sell. SL at Kijun.

Then, suddenly, whoosh! PA shot upwards, hit all SL

I looked for a top, then opened another sell... the cloud is downtrend, PA under the cloud, Chikou under PA..... BUT, do you guys think it's possible for PA to make another shot up?

Really appreciate any help

Thanks!
Donny

Chris Capre answers Ichi questions over in the 2ndskies thread, if anyone is interested. Yes I started the thread but he is very knowledgeable with Ichi and is willing to give some help.

It formed double bottom and also bounced twice from the Fibo 61.8. So if PA manage to close above kumo I expect the next target will be BRN 1.0600 and also Fibo 100.

Hi Donny,
When looking for short in 4H TF, I think we shoud be very careful or move SL to BE very quick because if looking at daily and weekly the signals still be long.
As in my last post the double bottoms are in confluence with the major resistance in July now shift into strong support of August.
I hope it helps.

Also worth to note that you H4 hit support from previous daily lows, and the Daily KS (blue line). Price had not closed below the Daily KS for some time so support at this area is strong.

H4 not confirmed for a BUY just yet, we need a future kumo twist bullish and PA (price action) should not be to far from the H4 KS (red line) when we enter. Price and the TS will come together again.

If you also take a look at the H2 you will see the 1,048 area for TS matches very close with H4 TS, this would be a good area to look for entry long. just keep an eye on the TS....

Also never trade against, or ignore flat KS (blue line), price will attract back to this area. often this will act as support / resistance sendind price back in the original direction again. Check each TF to see if there are any flat KS lines......on the higher TF's this can then mean use of the smaller TF's for a counter trend trade towards the flat KS

Again on the AUDUSD the H1 has a flat KS which is attracting price, this is at the 1,048 area. third confirmation of this price. I would look for entries around this price.

I wait until PA broke KS again to open long position, look in H1 TF, then put SL at Daily KS.

Hope this time won't miss. Any suggestion? Really appreciated!

Wow! Bears hit! However, looks like the bull was still standing and fought back! Now put another long after confirming a bottom in M1 and M5...

Let's see

Hey Donny...

Here is a chart and comment from Capre on the AU pair, you may find it interesting. Or you may not.

I made several trades on this pair lately..easy stuff.

AUDUSD
I am going to comment on this pair from an Ichimoku and Price Action perspective. Ichimoku first.

Although the pair is above the Kumo and Kijun, it has been sandwiched below the Tenkan for 8 days now. By itself this would be suggestive of weakness. But add how the price action has related to the channel and its more suggestive.

Look how the price action has responded to the bottom of the channel. Only in the first (of the last 4) approaches did it stall at the bottom. But each time it was rising quite steadily, along with the tenkan. Now the tenkan has been holding price for 8 days capping the upside. Combine that with how today's selling pretty much erased 3 days of gains, only to be stopped by the channel bottom which is still in play.

Overall, the pair looks more likely to break the downside (of the channel) as it seems to be barely holding on at this point. Ichimoku traders can play an upside rejection towards the tenkan and yesterday's highs, or wait for a break below the Kijun. Price action traders can take buys off the 5 day lows just above 1.0400 with tight stops, or look to sell just above 1.0530 on intraday weakness.

Well, PA now broke Daily Kijun... SL hit.

Seeing fundamental, AUD should be stronger than this, so in longer time frame, I think it still bullish... also look at kumo.

Now, let's wait for PA to brake Kijun from below.... just curious: how can we tell by looking ichimoku, that the big trend has reversed?
