They do often do that yes, push price one way only to get a better price and reverse it again

"talk" of something on the wires basically means rumor to me, i dont trust it nor do i really care, but its nice to know why something is moving, and i have honestly banked and saved a lot of pips because of announcements made by central banks or politicians like merkel, or because of data that is coming out that i didnt know about, not that that is at all similar to a rumor of who is bidding a pair

just my opinion, using the squawk makes me a better trader, or at least prevents me from making some mistakes

buy positions above 1.246 with targets @ 1.263 & 1.275 in extension.

there is a better short waiting at 2535 1hr supply and 40 down trend line, 30 is good though

Got a sell limit at 2538, hoping the top of the wedge holds when stop running goes on for the 61.8 retrace

No short yet really. And buy was really weak-look-like, not my type of trade to hop in.

I was able to get in at 2533, where do you suggest a stop loss? I have one above the pivot at 2561, and tp around 2475...

your advice is much appreciated.

depends on what your risk is, but i would have set it the same as max doom, around 2545.

or if you want even less risk, just above the recent highs of 2535. problem with that is that you may get stopped out, but you can always re enter and save yourself a lot of pips inbetween, where as if your stop was above 2560 and you were stopped out you would lose around 25-30 pips instead of 5 pips from the first short @ 2533, and then re shorting at 2555/2560 with stops just above, and losing another 5 pips there.

with a stop @ 2561 and target 2475 your RR profile is good, so i dont see a problem with that unless you are over leveraged

i cut losers quickly instead of letting float because if im stopped out i can always re enter, likely at a much better price than if i was just to let the trade float. because if you let this trade float all the way to 2560 then its 30 pips, if you get out @ 2540 and re enter @2560 you save yourself 20

also having 0.7-1.0 spread allows me to do this much easier than with 2.0 spread. i may get stopped out a few times trying to get the top or bottom of a swing, but only end up losing 7-8 pips on those few trades. and ill easily make it back when the 20+ pip move happens.
