Mohan, my idea is that you drive too much on news.

I don't follow news at all and last week I made big profits just by not following the news.
I follow my charts, news is very much not important to me in the longer term.

There is hardly any news that can really change direction.

Thanks, not even NFP can change direction, the only news ever that I have seen change direction is FOMC minutes, and we just had that last week so we'll have to wait 5 weeks before that happens again.

KW when you say "long term" what do you mean? Is it hours, days, weeks? or are you basing it on the TF of your charts? Im still have lots of learning to do and I am exploring all ideas.. thanks for you thoughts

The EURUSD is testing the maximum upward channel wedge (a standard technical descent). A failure to move superiorly (above 1.2600) would be a first sign of weakness for the EUR. The resistances are given by the price downtrend line and the maximum of 18 June (ie 1.2748). The recent strength in the USD is now seen as a retraction in a downtrend. As such positions and long term, we will look for signs of weakness associated with conditions of excess demand, in order to initiate a new short position in EUR. If the trend we have seen, is maintained and if the EUR initiate a negotiation above 1.2600, then we may see the pair trading this week around 1.2645/55 or even at the level of 1.27XXX. A return below 1.2430 will put the current trend in the neutral zone, and however needed the break of 1.2325/35 to replace us in a trend "Bearish" short term. Thus, the forecast for the next few hours is as follows:


TREND (Theory DOW)

“Major Channel” – Long Term – Bearish – Resistance (currently 1.3206)
“Current Channel” – Medium Term – Bearish – Resistance (currently 1.26864)
“Probability Channel” – Short Term – Bullish – Support (currently 1.2339)

R & S
Resistance – 1.2606
Support – 1.2480


POSSIBLE SCENARIOS

 

  1. Above 1.2535 “suggest” purchases, with 55 pips of SL. TP1 @ 1.2572 , as TP2 we have 1.2590 and TP3 @ 1.2626/36. Hint: use of BE after reaching the 1st TP.
  2. * In the range from 1.2480 to 1.2535 is the scenario MARKET IN RIGHT SIDE, to say, OUT OF MARKET – OoM!! For more aggressive investors suggest buying above 1.2490, SL with a maximum price of the entry of scenario 3. Sells below 1.2526 with SL maximum of 20 pips (1.2546).
  3. Below 1.2480 get Sell positions with SL of 55 pips, as TPs, consider: TP1@ 1.2462 , TP2 @1.2444 and TP3 @ 1.2416/26, the “Breakout” this may relocate again in the active area of 1,23 XXX/ 1,22 XXX. Hint: use of BE after reaching the 1st TP.

* NOTE – any position in this range is considered as a “higher position risk”.
