Great job, ehrek! Might be some resistance around 1.0033-1.0060, but i don't think it'll last too long. Not much after that until 1.0250. This should be a good one to hold on to.

it formed a double top, in theory dt formation leads to a reversal in an uptrend but i am confused as to its implication...any one got any ideas as to its implications?

There was a tiny reaction and you are quick to call it a double top, that's the mistake.

The thing is I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 0.9884 taken out before we resume upwards again. That might not happen, but don't count it out.

I see us going down to 9916 in the short term. Once we hit that level it will bounce back and continue on its accent to the heavens.

Why do you say we're going for .9800? Just because it didn't fly to the moon yet doesn't mean it's going down. Look at this weeks candle, that's exactly what we want to see here. I think there's a very good chance we take out the low at .9884 at some point, but it is not given.

You sound like you're over-leveraged on this trade and you fear a winning trade turning into a loser. The fact is that if you're in at .9870, you really don't have much of a winner at this point. If you've got you're stop at 9840 you're only risking 30 measly pips. If 30 pips put a big dent in your account then you need to lower your size.

Even if this thing heads to 1.1200 from here, you can't expect it to move in a straight line. There are sure to be some counter-trend moves, and you can play them several different ways. The safest way being to do absolutley nothing. If you're bullish this pair, let it run! This pair might go down to .9800 like you said, but things look pretty good for a bull and there is a pretty good chance we'll see MUCH higher numbers in the weeks ahead. Let a trade where you initially risked only 30 pips, turn into a trade that earned over 1000----that should be your goal.

Yeah, I'm bullish this pair too. I posted a call in the AUDCAD thread last weekend if you want my thoughts. I think we'll see some near term weakness in AUDUSD, but that should be off-set by strength in USDCAD. AUDCAD looks like it's at another low this weekend. There is a decent possibility of this pair staying in a 300 pip range for a month, however, and that keeps me from tying up any money in this trade.

lol, good guess - yes i am over leveraged this pair, i am concerned as to important data being released next week and if they announce QE3 its trouble i reckon - well do hope for my and all the other bull bretherns sake that this pair goes up and thanks for ur input

yeah - I just entered another position @ 1.0316 - ... For any pattern traders, nice 4hr bullish flag, thats obviously left its course.. 1.04299 would be a nice breakout entry back in...

I think both AUDUSD vs CAD pairs will run within correlation with eachother... the US$ INDEX itself seems to have bottomed out from my analysis.

Going to be an interesting week... all the best

Looks like the powers of the worlds manipulators crafty handywork. manipulation of energy holds the globe in its entirety at their desired will. I say everyone in the work should take a 1 month sabbatical drive nothing go nowhere quite work transport nothing nowhere. BOYCOT the energy PIGS and their manipulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still bearish USD/CAD. Last week's bounce off .9840 and consolidation just illustrates the massive move down (the past 5-6 weeks) ran out of rocket fuel. I can't see the pair moving up with a majority analysts putting QE3 at 70-90% chance. I would expect sideways movement between last weeks range (.9850 - .9950) until Jackson Hole Friday. Hopefully lots of opportunities to trade the range!

Cannon ball!!!

Short TP just missed .9850, out at .9858 for now. Maybe re-initiate at .9875 with an aim at .9840.

Long at .9810 if it rockets that far.
