I waited. Price is above the dragon (EMAs). Consolidation was a break up. Or am I doing something wrong? Correct me please if so.

I thought the same, especially if you look at higher timeframe. H4 is frightening for a short. Also is it really wise to trade inside the range of the huge earlier bar? Too many alarm bells for me plus it's after London hours. If in doubt dump it and look for the next one! I would be interested to hear more experienced SonicRers views.

H4 was set up well. Pin Bar rebound from support and TL. On the M30 head-shoulder ... good entry for me.

Ok, market's in the doldrums which is a sailing term for no freaking wind. I was sent this, it's some of the best sports commentary I've ever heard, it's Olympic sailing and I'm still laughing.

Do you mean support? Resistance is plotted on my chart with a green line, it's around 1.0506. I don't see a lot of support until 1.0480 and 1.0460ish. Should my short be triggered it won't struggle much with resistance.

Oh, you're referring to your channel lines. To be honest, I don't put a great deal of weight on short time frame trend lines.

To all; There is an interesting argument for a long in audusd right here, anyone taking it? I'm still in the bear camp but I can see a bullish potential. Also, first move in Asia is often a head fake in my experience.

This looks bearish. The whole number has been an important area for four days now. The trend is down on M30/M15. PA bounced up off whole number the first two of the four days. Next day PA moved down thru it. And yesterday PA moved back up to it (backtesting).

Ok, not to make too important an issue out of volume here, but look what is happening right now. PW is suddenly pushed up, then even higher trading at the highs, then high trading again coming down off the highs. This certainly looks bearish, i.e., push the price high to get better pricing for building a short position. The same could happen more, by Frankfurt traders, then London session traders, then US session traders. But the bottom line is, no matter if and how far more such pumps go, it is looking like preparations to continue the trend down.

No matter what, though, a setup is a setup when next it comes, even if contrary to anticipations. And as such, can be traded for profit. Just need to keep tight reigns on it if counter to the trend.

Agreed. Stuff in M30 and lower gets trumped all the time by bigger more important stuff in the higher TF's.

Then you see people complaining, geee, why did that TL not hold, or support fail, or H&S fail?

Its because these things are often (not always) meaningless in the bigger picture, and the bigger picture takes precedence, always.

I joke, but I agree. I generally give little credence to any trend lines on a chart of less than H1.
