True, i also expected it bit lower, but was the first level to buy from, at least for me, talking about 30, but usually those are the best trades which are not expected

I said to watch for NY finish to see CNY and AUD news, looks like news will be bullish AUS broke Res.

One feature of forex which I hate the most is that when it moves, moves with the speed of light and then either a long consolidation phase or another similar move in the same or opposite direction .

Good, if you are already there before a move starts. If not, very little chance of winning on balance playing smaller moves.

One reason I am now convinced that longer-term trading is the only way to tame this animal.

Quite the contrary, those are the moves i like the most, when price races to its level, it makes me even more confident to take it. There are many ways, just have to take the one you like the most, simple as that, just opinion

price looks like its squeezing and could potentially go either way. If it breaks resistance at 1.2366 its off to 1.2384ish. I also see a bear flag pattern but has multiple points of support which may exhaust shorts and go in for a solid retracement. I'm still bear as of now.

Failures to follow through on what the crowd expects (tl or sup/res breaks, positive or negative news that fails to sustain initial breakout direction) have the more violent counter reactions.
