DislikedDaily close above 1.2450 should alarm sellers Weekly and Monthly pretty bullish technically and opens 1.264x area reachable.
Weekly so far healthy bull.
Failing the above scenario should continue long term bearish trend where we could locate the higher point of this unfinished swing at 1.2440 area.
or else we wait more to have shorts @ 1.26xx level (not in between) for low risk swinging.Ignored

i like to trade with draghi,becos the reason is,since he has become the cheif of ecb this is the first call he has given about defending the euro and if he says something i am pretty sure its not said lightly or slip of tongue, and usually my feeling is its a kind of signal from them to the serious money for either taking profit or initiating new position.if i am not wrong i still remember benny was talking about strong dollar at jacksonville speech i think late 2010 and lo and behold dollar start to become strong within 48 to 72 hrs.and yes offcourse...

i agree with u,and i think 550 is in sight before starting the down leg again.its my experience if price within reach of 500 then it will go thier as there will be lot of stops to be cleared off and also as per quarter theory prices move in 250 pips ranges so now price is between 1.2250 and 1.2500.
also i dont know whether u remember or not when prices are at 1.3200 there was a talk of options expiring at 1.2500 and price definatley reached 1.2500 and infact it jump down another 450 pips below it hence its a very very attractive price for the market...

I just came to see your few posts and still see that I am a rebelbcos I am buying Euro and you guys are going again the moving train. Anyway, I personally don't play with weekly divergence. That is what is making Euro strong for now. It will nullify all sell signal along it part. I will continuing buying on retracement until 1.262x.

1.2450 was a large option expiry, 1.25 is double no touch with 1.20.
Not sure when they expire but I think soon, which is probably the reason for the heavy defense at 1.2440
Sell limit with tight stop at 35 triggered, I forgot I even had this thing still going.
Woke up to 2440 still holding strong. As with during London, 2417 and 07 are now important support. So is 2395 and 75.
I want 1.2390s before an attempt higher (if), but I am still trying to catch a large down move here... and it just won't happen.
PT can you teach me this thing you call patience, it is foreign language to me

Draghi's aim is to lower sovereign bond yields and not to prop up the exchange rate. EZ is in a recession and propping up the exchange rate would be counter productive to the EZ economic recovery.
One needs to read between the lines.
If you want to have a clear understanding of why the Euro is climbing, here it is.
1. Technically it is long overdue for a correction before the next move down.
2. Investors are clearing their books for the summer holidays so they are covering their short positions in equities, commodities, sovereign bonds, and (in effect) the Euro.
3. The threat of speculative shorts in short term Spanish and Italian debt has been removed by Draghi's comments. Therefore the yield curve is adjusting itself accordingly, as it should be with low rates on short term and higher rates on long term. Since long term is already at high rates, the net capital flow into Euros is positive as short term debt rallies and long term debt remains flat.
4. Institutional investors (not traders) are pretty much sidelined right now (or in the process of sidelining) so the majority of the volume in the equity and commodity markets is retail. Retail always goes the wrong way because they are lemmings. Therefore, price is moving against fundamentals.
At least that is my view on things anyway. I could be wrong, but then you could be also
