DislikedPreviously you said that "they" changed your margin requirement AND disabled guaranteed Stop Loss. But now you said your broker gave you the choice to EITHER lower margin or disable guaranteed Stop Loss. I assume you received a call or an email to inform you of this condition. If that's the case, it should be your intermediary broker that set the requirement. I don't get this email from GFT.Ignored
1) change margin from 1% to 2.5% (this is my broker requirement and not GFT and I'm aware about this);
or
2) use guaranteed SL on this pair and you can continue to trade with margin 1% or even lower. If you don't use guaranteed SL then you will be obligated to use 2.5%.
So, I choose 2) and agreed to use guaranteed SL all the time on EUR/CHF pair. Two days ago, I saw guaranteed SL was disabled on this pair and I've asked my broker. He said : GFT disabled it for EUR/CHF and USD/CHF (because his is dealing with GFT and not me) and that's why my account becoming an account from option 1), with 2.5% margin.
For you it's not impacting if GFT enable/disable guaranteed SL cause you always have 1% margin setup by GFT, but for me it is.
So, in my case to continue trading with my broker, I need to have the guaranteed SL available to be on option 2 with my account. Now, I didn't know the fact that GFT sometimes enable or disable this option (as slovforex said during news/summit/weekends) based on events and I thought it was there available all the time.
Therefore, I can be randomly based on events with account in option 1 or in option 2 for EUR/CHF or USD/CHF pair when I'm trying to open new positions (not affecting the already opened ones). I hope you get now the entire story.
Now, all I need to know if GFT disabled guaranteed SL on my account (due special events as slovforex said) or my broker is trying to screw me disabling this option as he wants.
Can you please confirm me if you have guaranteed SL option appears on EUR/CHF in this moment cause you have a direct account with GFT? In my case, for EUR/USD the option is appearing even now, but for EUR/CHF not -- see the previous picture.
Thanks!
