So, Draghi and his "we will defend EU at all costs" rhetoric that caused the bull run recently has come home and bit him on the ass. This was bound to happen.....'action talks....bullshit walks.' Draghi has no plan!

im glad we took the buy and locked the profits.

Entries are clear, by now , guess for everyone .
Exit, as RJ says, is harder.
Good traders just "know" from market "feel".
Others like me, need some extra tools.

I want to share an effective stop trail that I learned years ago...
(TP: just like RJ says, easy enough.)

TRAIL:
Once in the trade open a new, separate chart with 3 Indies.
Alligator
AO
AC from B. Williams.
They come standard in MT4.

(By the way, I´m an "expert" in B. Williams, read the books, know them by heart since the beginning in the old days.: don´t try it, it hardly works, although very popular!!!)

The rules:
1 Stop: last pivot as per Genesis rules.
2 Stop: trail the farthest Alligator line, as the market goes your way.
3 Stop: keep an eye on the AC, as son as it goes 3 bars in the opposite colour to your trade, trail the second Alligator line.
4 Stop, as soon as it goes another 3 bars against you move to the closest Alligator line.
5 Stop (might come before the latter), as soon as the AC goes from positive to negative, or viceversa (against you), trail 1 Bar plus spread till stopped out.
6 Stop: If the market runs strongly in your favour, as soon as both AC and AO have more then 5 bars in the same colour, trail also 1 bar till stopped...this doesn´t happen too often, but when it does it´s a running swing...

ADVANTAGES:
-reduces the size of loosing trades.
-keeps you on board, often till the end of the swing or very close, or your preset TP.
-mechanicall, no emotions.

DISADVATAGES:
-not perfect like all trailing systems.
-will kick you out in bumpy swings, sometimes sooner than necesary.

DISCLAIMER: please backtest thoroughly, it works for me, might not work for you

A close below 1.2217 today and we'll have a proper bearish engulfing pattern/candle; if today marks the renewed start of the downtrend, your 'Draghi Cancle' nickname might well become established as the de-facto standard for 'the markets will eventually call your bulls**t' days...

Hi Cuchuflito,
I had a quick play on M1 Euro chart; please let me know if I got it right?
1) my orange line = short genesis entry 1.2328 - stop above recent high and then at blue line after a few candles
2) at my first yellow line - 3 x green AC bars ---> move stop to red line
3) at my 2nd yellow line - another 3 x green AC ---> stop to green line
4) at the same time, AC turns positive ---> stop to trail 1 bar+spread and get stopped out at my first blue line (Higher High at 1.2211 for + 117 pips) or alternatively when price hits the green line at my 2nd blue line (1.2198 for +130 pips)?

+ 3 questions:
1) can you explain properly your "6 stop" and show me on the chart where/when that took place
2) you only use AO together with AC for the "5+ bars of the same colour" scenario and nothing else?
3) 'trail 1 bar high' = stopped out as soon as we have a new high?

I've been asked to post my template because of not using HA candles and a few other minor things so here it is. The indicators used can be found in the first post apart from the candle time indicator which is attached to this post as well as DWMpivots which I really like the look of and LHDTprivots for the high/low of the day and 90 day high/low.

AT THIS POINT: WHEN AC CROSSED THE MIDDLE: YOUR TRAILING I BAR OVERRIDES THE ALLIGATOR LINES
MEANING: YOUR STOP GOES ABOVE EACH CLOSED BAR PLUS SPREAD AS THEY APPEAR, A VERY TIGHT STOP:::FROM WHAT I SEE IN THAT EXAMPLE; IT KEPT YOU ALIVE FOR A FEW MORE BARS DOWN AND SOME MORE PIPS

HOPE ITS CLEAR NOW:::WHENEVER THE AC CROSSES THE MIDDLE IT MEANS VERY VERY TIGHT STOP::
THE SAME GOES FOR 5 AO AND AC OF THE SAME COLOUR IN ONE RUN:::
THE IDEA IS THAT SO FAR THE ACCELERATION DOESN T GO TOO STRONG AGAINST YOU YOU TRAIL NORMALLY WHEN IT TURNS HEAVY AGAINST YOU THEN YOU TIGHTEN ROPES LIKE IN A STORM
REMEMBER ITS NOT PERFECT BUT IT TENDS TO BE EFFECTIVE IN GETTING YOU OUT OF INITIALL TROUBLE AND SQUEEZING PROFITS IN THE END OF THE SWING:::

I've just realised there is a mistake on that template, I did it from scratch and didn't change the M15 timeframe stoch to 11,3,3 so that will need changing.

Thanks for the extra explanations, all is clear bar the above:
1) do they have to start at the same time?
2) or can one start before the other, in which case the first one might get to 7 or 8 before the 2nd gets to 5+
3) we are talking about the opposite colour (so if we're short, we look for 2 x 5+ green bars?

Hard to decipher it. A classic Outside Reversal as identified on another thread, but is it the reversal of the long term trend or the short 3 day uptrend?

I don't know about any of that, all I know is that a Hidden Bearish Divergence exists on the Daily chart
