Yep pretty much all USD crosses are gaining today. Definitely the E/U was the better long by far though as the Euro gained against all and the USD lost against all.

1.2280 might have been the place to short as mentioned earlier. I placed a sell limit just above that at 1.2295 thinking it would continue with a little excitement. The 1.2280 was the bottom of the bear flag that we broke out of last week and has proven to be resistance. Although the hour candle is not finished yet, it looks like we may not hit my 1.2295.

Anyways, going to lick my wounds for the time being and wait for the US durable goods numbers at 8:30.

i was expecting this sharp move base on previous experience,i dont know whether anyone remember last year when price at 1.3940,where everyone expecting price to reach 1.4000 before downtrend start but what happen was there are number of rallies to 1.3960,1.3980 and then sharp move to 1.3800/700 and then price move and break 1.3980 and price reach above 1.4250 before starting downtrend with a move of about 1000 pips to the downside.

the price action we are seeing this time is very similar but the other way round.anyway i am lucky to catch this move.

Didn't catch the spike up but shorted all major pairs afterward and now all from +5 to +30 in green. Thank you Mr. Draghi

There was the pre-Draghi market and the post Draghi market.

EUR/USD stood around 1.2130/35, effectively unchanged on the day , when comments from the ECB head honcho hit the wires. The EUR/USD rally started off slowly enough, but gathered pace when buy stops were tripped through 1.2175 initially and then more through 1.2230. We’ve been as high as 1.2288, presently at 1.2275.

The euro bears have been given a severe bloody nose. But will it prove a knock-out blow? I’d be surprised if it were, but the bears will probably need a while to clear their heads.

USD/JPY hardly moved on the day, about 10 pips firmer from when I arrived, presently at 78.18. Buy orders seen 78.00/05 (said to include semi-official interest), sell stops through 78.00 and 77.90. Sell orders clustered 78.40/60, buy stops above there.

What a short covering... it went far beyond what i was expecting in a single move and based on hot air (as usual).

We've kissed the lower trendline (1.2294) made by the daily lows on the 13/07 to the 19/07...
I wonder if we will break 1.23 or not.
This would be a great plaqce to put more shorts with tight SL...
USDX is at Support now
Gold rejected from 1620
I will wait for retest before I make my move.

Thanks brother! I hate to long this turd, but it was too low for me to short. I am awaiting the 1.2310 and 1.2360 and 1.2420 area for short entry if she will get there. It may be capped by that 1.2287 long term S/R line and 88.6% fib on 4H @1.2291.

Remember, US can only trade one way

At this point, the Euro bears that got stopped out with losses are still licking their wounds. So give it some time. The bulls are probably gonna get all cocky now so there might be another attempt to take it higher. That's when I'll jump in with my big hammer to show them who's boss

High so far 2287 with the short TFs starting to show bearish momentum divergence.....so I've just taken an initial sell at 2268 after the 5 min lower high at 2272

Keep an eye on gold and crude. A move above $1625 on gold and above $90 on crude will signal more bullish bullsh&t

exited my long from 1.2060 .. may be early but am now looking for short positions lets see.

With the impressive gains on the NY equity futures, we may see some profit taking, but the SP500 still needs to test the 1400 handle before the major selling starts. I don't think we'll see that today and just because the SP500 goes up does not necessarily mean the Euro will join it up there. However, I think some caution is due right now until the big boy bulls show a sign of rolling over... which hopefully will be soon.

ur remember PT u posted something from forexlive on friday i think where the article gloating that the expected rally hasnt materialize and there are some big option are there at 1.2000 and big boys certainly going to trigger those option before the rally will materialise.i will say this chap certainly (96% probablity]going to write something similar in future also at about or before sharp rallies and one can use him as an indicator to be position in and take advantage of or booking once profit if in green.that my 2 cents
