Just had a look at the account history took trade at 1.20653 and exit 1.20562 so 9 pips then, thanks for clearing that up Olivia, there,s me thinking im minted

Guys,

This morning we've had jumps in the market after the london open. Genesis gave buy signals for example on the e/u. Hindsight says we'd have got paid...problem is news can go either way.

In this case the news release that caused the spike in price wasn't even on my news indicator box. Personally, I'll never trade around news (unless I'm into a trade from a while before) simply because of the volatility.

Just wondered people's thoughts are. We'll always get signals and chances so staying out at news time can't be bad?

i never saw a news release for that time either, i think it was just the london session open that spiked it, i try to avoid trades at 8.00 AM and wait for the market to settle, and someone correct me if i am wrong but isnt wednesday interest swap day, maybe had something to do with it

As well as EU, EJ, WTI (if you trade oil) and UK100 (if you trade FTSE)

You have to switch to normal candlesticks to see the gap

Well yes...I wouldn't take any buy trades as ATR has been smashed to the upside.....plus, I read that the AU has always fallen in August for the past 3 years.....i don't care about that tho...all i care about is genesis

darn it! i really have a gap. axi trader and dukascopy real accounts.

but my demo do not have gaps

maybe because my head has a gap
