I was thinking exactly about this. We can lower our SL right to the point that you mention. We will get better risk to reward also. Question is, if the SL would be "wide" enough for a market to breathe.

Take a look at my progress report for this month.

I've been making a determined effort to get with the program
and to stick with the rules.

As you can see from the chart, I had one trade that I didn't
want to turn loose of. In my "mind" I believed it would turn around
eventually (anyone ever heard of that before?), but I finally came
to the conclusion (way too late) that it wasn't going to happen so I closed it.

This is a perfect example of WHY we need to use hard stops. Had
I done so, my month would have been pretty decent, but clinging
to that trade was my downfall.

Gotta drum it into my head...it's not a complete SonicR trade until
I set the stops. As the old watch advertisement suggests, I should
"take a licking, and keep on ticking!"



(Just so you know, I am trading live with a $150 account and 0.10/pip and
the reason being.....)

But it is a good entry, if you set tight SL and cut your profit quickly because "main" trend at that time is up, it mean down waves more steeper than up waves.

Still i am taking a trade according to my vision. My idea is not to take long if the price in a new high (It is not a Entry. It is Re Entering a trade in the middle). Entering a trade in the middle gives no guarantee. Often you are in the top of the price action. And it is not good to take a trade in the middle even Sonic R Setup happens (it is my opinion) and I expect price may fall down. And same for taking short.

I will try to stick with the Sonic R rule coming days. Can you check my trade post #37677 posted on Friday and review it. It is good idea if everyone plan to put their total progress at the end of every month.

This song is from Tamil Film Enthiran. The story is the copy of the english movie i-Robot. But story is slightly different. Normally in English movies there is no songs. But in Tamil (Indian) Movies, there should be atleast 4 songs. Both story and songs should be nice then only a movie consider to be a success one.

#1 - GBP/USD

Comment: I personally have stopped trading this pair. I don't like the "spikey"
movement it makes. Always ends with tails up and/or down on the candles. Just
makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason.

Looks like you hit the EP at just the right time in my opinion. And in addition, the
sentiment was making the transition from bullish to bearish at that same time. The only
thing I might have done differently is to set the TP a little higher - at the support level
just after the LO the previous day. Not quite as brave as you, but an excellent trade!

#2 - AUD/USD

Comment: This is a pair I do trade. I've cut back to just three pairs - EUR/USD, EUR/AUD, and AUD/USD. I just like the way those three seem to interact somewhat predictably, and watching more pairs just confuses me anyway. I'm trying my best to stick with the SonicR method as closely as possible, and eliminating unecessary distractions seems to help me.

Once again, I'd say you hit the EP just about right and the only thing I see that I might have done differently is to have stuck with the trade a little longer. Another good one in my humble opinion though.

Thanks for your review. One has to careful while taking reentry in the middle. Trend length is differ from one pair to another. What is your opinion about re entering a trade in the middle?

The price already cross the Solid Dragon. His entry is below Solid Dragon. Did you mean Line Dragon(EMA 89)?

I think his entry is good. His entry is at close of second candle 1.2496 and it broke support line 1.2498, but the first candle is not (1.2506 ).

I prefer to see first leg cross dragon, 2nd wave have less candles than first one and cross dragon again, the final leg ( leg #3 ) cross dragon and break first leg.

The dragon is powerful .

Thanks for sharing your experience. I too have learn many things in this thread. Many things which I shouldn't do in my trading.

I see a good potential on your Equity graph.
Double bottom pattern.

GK, from what i have seen, there really is no "middle." That's just an illusion. There is only PA, and it cant do anything at any time it chooses.

Of course the direction can be affected by support/resistance levels so we need to be aware of them and set SL and TP accordingly.

The reality is that price WILL continue in it's current direction for as long as it chooses, and when it decides to turn, we get out and watch for the next opportunity to enter a trade. Keep it simple is my new mantra.

love your interpretation of the graph. The things I need to address are crystal clear from that chart.

Hi ArtfulDodger,

Take a look at the graph AU, Trend is flowing for 2 days from 18 Jul to 19 Jul. One idea is if you close your half position and book 40 pips and run half position into BE trade until PA cross the Solid Dragon Low. You can run your trade and cover 19th Jul.

For example if you close all pos on 18th and book 40 pips. Will you re enter the trade on 19th or you skip the trade and wait for another setup? Entering a trade anywhere in 130 pips area on 19th i describe as re entering a trade.

GK I see four EP's (every L, H, HL) that could be potential points of entry. The trend is way below the dragon, so I see nothing to indicate a reversal of the current trend. Hard to be specific without seeing a HTF chart for setting TP's, but if you kept the TP's reasonable I wouldn't be afraid to jump in anywhere.

My downfall has been getting too far away from what the PA is doing instead of just accepting the PA waves for what they are showing us. If it's a H, L, HL and all other factors are present, then in my opinion it's a valid SonicR trade.

If once we see L, H, HL in an uptrend. If we wait and enter a long trade once the price breaks H after HL, we can avoid getting into fake entery. Am I correct?

The way I see it, it's the same for any valid SonicR trade. You just have to keep an eye on it as it progresses and be prepared to exit when necessary.

If it is a valid trade, it's a valid trade. Doesn't really matter when it appears. Sometimes the trade enters and turns around on you. You just never know.

GU Commentary:

Attached is a projection for short trade. It is based on what looks to be a reversal in direction from up to down. The first run down is about 130 pips. There has been no pullback, but their might be one coming, and should be one coming. So the question is, where might a pullback rise to for a short entry?

M30 is used to show more historic PA, to help with setting trade levels. EP is set, as you can see, just below the tops of some previous highs. A pullback could be higher, a 50% retrace, a 62% retrace? We'll have to wait and see, and see what Sonic R. short setup might occur. The SL is very close to the start of the run down and is also above RDH. It is almost 60 pips from EP. Later PA might warrent closing up the gap somewhat. But if PA is to drop more, again there could be whips to worry about. The two TPs are set just for today, within the space down to RDL. If a trade does occur, and depending on how it might run, like maybe into tomorrow, then a TP might be lowered.

Anyway, this is one I'm stalking. At this stage, I have no plans to do anything until I see a decent pullback. And then, either a good looking M15 SonicR short re-entry, or a new SonicR short setup, presumably the latter.
