Maybe he has broker who allows 1:200 leverage? That could give him a bit of breathing space. Otherwise, 1:22, Andy, how to say it. You are either super pro trader, or insane. I am saying it pretty often and I will repeat myself once more. Lots of FX traders are aiming for sick profit. They are going to give you 5% in a bank. Per year. Be glad if you make 10% with FX.

Not exactly... If you have a million dollar account then doing 10%/year is OK.
But if you come to this game with a smaller sack of dollars or euros, you have to calculate how much trading job (this is a job, isn't it?) affects your life, I mean time, risk, your health and your expectations.
Some traders say in takes them only 10 minutes a day to do analysis...
Well, I am not so good, it takes me couple of hours every day so need to recalculate it the way it's worth it...
10% is not worth it, not at all.

10% is not worth it, not at all.
i totally agree with u and that psyche will adversely affect the trader and his performance.in the process of achieving bigger returns he will leverage himself and one when the losses comes he cant stand it and we have to say one more time RIP for another trader.

Hey guys, I'm using Oanda at 50:1 (very small account)

My margin is set to 25% of that, so I'm trading at a level which means 10 pips = 1% of my account.

You need first invest your time and then the reward comes to you. If you have too high expectations and hope to get a million from a 2K USD account, you are about to get disappointed. As many before.

From time to time, my friends are making fun of me, saying: "Tom, you are working on this economy mumbo jumbo for 9 years, how much did you make per hour?" Well, my hourly wage is terrible ofc, because I had to study 6 years in order to be able to survive on the market. But it is the consistency and long run, what makes profit here. Sure you can make 100% per year if you are super pro or genious. But there are just so few of such people. If you are not one of them, you may do 100% one year, and loose everything the next day. I know I am nor genious, nor superpro. But still, I am here, profitable and very close to the day when I can become full time trader.

i have limit order the long side at 1.2257 small position,if price hold it their its ok otherwise i will be running with my tail between the legs

Gold lost nearly $15.00 today, breaking its support lines one by one...
I can't put it all together to make some reasonable analysis

please dont take it as we r trying preach u excessivley but even with a small account play as though it is ur biggest account and play it the right way otherwise habit have a nasty habit of nagging u through ur life.u understand what i mean.
