Yes it is not good method. If i accept SL 76 pips lost. Now i am risking 150 pips. Lets see what happen. I don't know how many of you hit by SL.

Hello GK. Averaging is OK and I use that too. But the max for averaging for me is 3. and should put SL in the next SR. But if you think that your strategy is working then the choice is yours.

I think you should give SL. the chart is break the trend line in the daily chart. and it absolutely break that fibbo. In the 1.5730 is the SR area. for me when the set up correct i'll short GU in that price area.

You seem to have carried on adding to your original EP at known Resistance levels hoping PA would bounce off of them, with Sonic R setups being trend following, you would have had to have waited for a reversal before getting a valid Sonic R entry (which is what I am waiting for on the AUDCHF trade I am in and following, TAH already posted his setup for this pair, which I did not take due to low volume and pending news from Australia)

I trade without SL's normally adding to my positions once I see divergence forming, so this is not Sonic R related, but just one traded looking to share what he looks for when considering cutting losses or allowing the trade run and adding more to a losing trade.

So this post is just answering your question with what I see and look for, I have attached a chart showing 1H divergence marked with the red lines the vertical yellow line shows where the divergence started. The divergence is clear on 3 indicators and the RSI as recently kissed the 80 level, which I consider extreme (but works better on higher TF's) and it is still in the overbought area while moving lower also PA is still rising (which is divergence)

Traders consider these indicators to be lagging, but I find them to be a leading indicator when looking for corrections, so I would look to add more sells at known Resistance levels on the basis that divergence is present.

Also providing the divergence does not break, I would expect it to bring the PA back down to at least the level it first started 1.567.

I hope you understand what I am trying to get across and that it helps you in someway

I agree with RT as I use divergence on the 4hr and daily TF. I find it to be a predictive rather than a lagging as it is attempting to predict change in direction. I never trade against divergence as it is right more than it is wrong.

In normal market condition we can trust the divergence. After big price spike we can always expect divergence. After spike after see divergence again price often seems to move higher than go low.

When you add more position will to add more lots or same as previous one.
ex. (previous lot size * 1.5) for recovering your loss quickly.

Well I don;t agree with you GK when adding positions and you add the size of lots. The same is OK. but adding lots not for me.

What happen when you adding lots and is still not going to the direction you want? means more losses.
