Looks like 1.2245 might be the place to re-load shorts. Has held up pretty good and is out last consolidation area.

Going to wait it out and see. Given that this is Friday, not sure if I want to hold a trade over the weekend.

like i said earlier, i normally do not trade on fridays but today i am trying out something and i'm glad i did.2 lovely jumps upwards g/u and e/u and what can i say. I have a plan and i stick to it. i have had 2 losses earlier or if i was on a battle field i could say i made a tactical withdrawal before going in for the onslaught. take care guys and lets see some drops now as i will be waiting.

Don't you think (technically) that it was the first sign of turn around and for next weeks 1.21600 could be a steady barrier ?

do you mind explaining what you were trying out? or the reasoning behind choosing to long the euro?

Technically, we need to see 1.2090... That's the thing with technicals. They don't always work out the way you want them to, but eventually the targets are reached. Nothing goes in a straight line. A bounce before we hit 1.2090 was very much expected. If this is it, then I see it as an opportunity to add another short position.

Such moves are supposed to look like a reversal and this one played out nicely with a daily outside reversal bar. Perfect bull trap in my opinion. This is why the fundies are so important. This sucker still has more down left in it. A true reversal will come when Europe solves its problems or when the US manure hits the fan. Don't hold your breath for either of those happening this quarter.

hello, normally i do not trade fridays as the big profit makers normally cease their trades so the market can go against the norm. For the past few weeks i have also traded going off directional movement cross overs. ( that is very easy system). i do not trade them all lol. i can show you a chart if you like. and i trade no problem with or against the trend. and in this case i went long BECAUSE that is where the market was going. Take care

Started a new short at 1.2239 seeing the 1.2245 has held up so far. I've placed a stop on this one at 1.2260 as I'm treating this trade as a day trade. Should it continue down, it will turn into a swing trade.

Not quite getting warm and fuzzy feeling yet.

i circled the cross over No1, these jumps are good. Before anyone mentions the other cross overs. i do not trade them all but once i am in a trade it like a machine and you go along with it. Good trading all

Very well said indeed. OK.
But let me ask you another question.
Looking from daily chart perspective, if this correction movement (before hitting 2090) will take some 200 pips or more and gets as far as 1.24500 or 1.25500, which is possible IMO, will you still think about it as "a loan" to the market.
How long can you add up to the loosing position?
Isn't a sort of "hopium" we've been talking about here many times?
Isn't better to cut your loosing trade now, and re-enter your SELL at 1.25500?
