Further to my post 37153, I see that PA bounced of the round number of 1.54 (which I talked about in an earlier post) back into the Dragon, I will now be looking to enter again once PA breaks the 1.54 level at 1.5390 with my final TP 1.534

Hi RT,

I have quite similar view on TP expectation today.
Since it is ahead of the weekend market close, I plan to close all positions today maybe befoe NYO and that will depends how I see the PA when LO.
I see the fibo-e 127% and 138% are critrical price zones today.
I will manage by protecting % of the PA and FP.
Let market decide.

Very interesting post although it is not SonicR related it is important as trading is skill based and requires vigorous thinking process in realtime.
I read a newspapers report recently and what you shared is very true happening in today society.
Lack of quality sleep does impair the brain regeneration and is shown to be one cause of slow recovery in people sufferihg from some form of mental illness like for example, narcissism.
Beside the brain, our hearts also need to rest but it cannot stop beating for us. So Good quality sleep allows our heart to slow down and our heart muscles tissues to repair itself. Kindness comes for our hearts. So we need good healthy hearts too.

Trading therefore like all forms of professional occupation, has its own occupational hazards.

Hi,

I don't know for sure if spot forex has what some analysts call seasonal behaviour.

I traded stock for 20 years and I agree with some analysts on seasonal behaviour for certain industry sectors.

But then all markets are correlated so there must be some effect of one on the other as money flows in the global markets.

But my trading performance over the past 5 years usually not the best in the months of June, Sep and Dec. Usually peak in April, Oct and Nov. This is my own performance and has nothing to do with the overall market condtion.

So you live in NSW, it will be getting a little chilly for you this time of year.

Thanks for sharing how you look for TP targets, I find with the daily range being an average of say 30 days, this average will include range bound market times (which can be more than 70% of a 30 day period), so when price moves out of a range and into a trend you will more often than not get a larger daily move.

I am happy to stick with the Sonic R system of historical S&R, but was digging to see if there was any formula for setting a TP at one particular level, based on PA. I trade and understand the Bollinger Bands and there are certain rules when following PA, such as straight Band to Band moves, price riding the Bands for 20 candles without testing the 20 MA e.t.c. So with the Sonic R system partly following waves I wanted to see if any TP logic had been applied to wave counts to project where PA might take us within the historical S&R range for setting TP's.

However it would seem there are no rules other than picking an S&R level at the start of choosing your setup and then once in profit it is down to the skill (or luck) of the trader to manage the trade based on the pursuing PA, which I guess can be said of any system.

So we can both enter the same trade I could gain 50 pips and you might gain 150 pips, so your understanding of PA gained you an extra 100 pips and for many newbies, it is this inability to maximize the number of pips from winning trades that can be their undoing when following any trading system, because before too long their losing trades start to eat into any profit they are making.

There is no sure fix for this other than lots of chart time and practice, I read your post about demo accounts, for me there is no substitute from trading live, you have to open an account that should you lose the money it will mean something to you, trading pennies is not going to give you the sense of loss and there will certainly be loses. How you deal with those loses will set you apart from the majority of traders that fail, you do not need a degree to trade Forex, but you do need a certain set of skills and a personality that can cope with stress.

Open your eyes and see all of them are pending orders. None of them are filled till now. I expect it will be executed in LO. I have Plan B check the picture.

I can not complain the AU was good last night. I am waiting on the AUD/NZD to weaken. I have re-entered the AU short at the 89ema on the 4hr. The markets have been without follow through lately. Thanks for asking.

Sorry your SL got hit, the news from China pushed the price up (Sharks at work) if price holds around parity I see a possible H&S pattern on the H4, so if price comes back down to the neck line and breaks we should get another Sonic R entry.

I am still bearish for this pair based on things that I look for and the higher it goes the bigger the down move will be

Robot Trader, I agree with you. The price drive up is less likely based on genuine buying interest and more likely a liquidity creation drive for building short positions. We are likely to see this motivation behind PA on other pairs today also, what with some high impact releases coming and it being a Friday. It is could be a day of nothing more than "posturing", with the moves delayed until next week.

EU Comment:

Might set up for a SonicR long because the Dragon is drifting upwards in shallow waves, PA is making higher HLs, and the Trend is now flatter, after dropping. Nobody knows what will actually occur, of course.

Attached is a preliminary of a possible long trade. If price starts to whip, the SLs shown might turn out to be too tight. And with one EUR high impact and two USD high impacts coming, the price could be whipped more than once before it is released to run. Placing the SL somewhere below the lower half number is an alternative.
