Bought Loonie @ nice decision point for a scalp

I bailed on AU for a 0.8R win.

Short AU again essentially based on this time shifted view...combined with equities location too.

Yep I agree. Stacked zones.

I played the FTB at the lower one, scraped a small win and then waited for the reaction off the higher one and for price to back in the lower zone.

Also had confluence with location of US equities at the time - so risk sentiment confluence.

But wasn't that supply already spiked, so that it wasn't fresh supply .................. how do you trade these stacked supplies in general LJ .

On the 15m-TF there was fresh supply combined with a 15m-PPZ you got yourself a bulltrap setup

Yes that's another way of looking at it (nice UCAD trade BTW). This is a better summary of what I was looking at.

Other trades today - loss on Silver short before it fell and a partial loss on UCAD long from higher up.

This was the Silver setup - bull trap above the SR into the supply (daily BEOB too) - got too fine with my SL and got taken out on the retest

Another one from today ( you get these occurring every day across multiple pairs and TF's if you look closely enough).

FTB of the DBD and SR combined which caused a bull trap from the break of the SR.

The problem with price action in the retail space is the knowledge and mindset. Pro's don't look at the candlestick bar that has formed, they look behind the bars at the market participants and order flow involved - and with that they know where price is likely to head.

In the retail space the analysis is along the lines of waiting for a specific bar pattern or narrow range of bar patterns to form without any idea as to what the bar actually represents. This is why you see analysis like 'is it going against a strong up move' / 'is the market ranging or trending' / 'what's the size of the bar relative to nearby bars' - all subjective and completely useless in the long run as it has nothing to do with what is happening behind the bar and thus fundamentally what is likely to happen, hence why people struggle to consistently make money with this approach.

Of course there is the opposite end where people have an idea of what's happening behind the bars but decide to create a mechanical strategy out of it.A mechanical strategy will never be as 'efficient' as objective analysis based on what is directly in front of you at that specific time. But a lot of people can't get over the desire for a rule based 'system' because it's easier from a psychological perspective.

Closed CP-trade Loonie for a small profit, price compressed into supply

Didn't take the UJ CP-trade which occured @ around the same time what a pity ...................

Closed 1/2 at 1.5825 for +40 pips.

AU short from earlier - banked some profit, will reduce SL and calling it a day.

Not the bearish day I was expecting, but a quick stop hunt scalp aided some profiteering.

Edit: How did I know this was the case? It was where I placed my stop from an earlier D1 trade.

Summer trading often reverses or at leasts teases with daily biases - certainly keeps you on your toes.

Very nice and simple setup there. Price here the supply which (as per the inserted pic below) was a M1 RBR within the down trend causing a trap above the clear previous swing high.

Nice quick move down as we expect - nice work.
