EU: Entered M5 asian session long. PA above Dragon. Dragon above Trend. Not expecting much, maybe PA makes it to PVT. SL1 is for asian session. If trade continues, LS might pull back and SL2 is current "guess" on that score.

I trade full time for a living and do NOT use SL's, all traders need to be able to manage their trades. If you trade with low leverage then you have plenty of time using divergence and convergence to trade your way out of any trade. Practice on a demo account, let a trade go against you by say 1000 pips and with low leverage let that trade equal just 5% of your account, then trade your way out of the mess you are in. You can look at any pair and you will see price moves from divergence to divergence or from divergence to convergence, price will nether go from a swing high to a swing low with out divergence, look for it on the higher TF's and then trade it on the 15M using Sonic or whatever PA system suits you.

Dear TAH,

See the attached chart. If you add more position against your EP you will get margin call and will close your account. Your way of adding more position will works in the normal market conditon. This will be dangerous when the market condition changes. It is good to live for a day than tomorrow. At the time one of my testing account was closed due to margin call while i am taking decision (It just happened in a matter of seconds).

I was testing Martingale method it was working good and again it failed due to taking more position against market.

Tell me what the indicator shows the levels of TP and SL?

GuruKrish, what's with this BS post of yours? You went back over a year to find what, a gigantic whipsaw that probably happens once in a decade to make some kind of lame point? My God, man, I don't care what trading system and money management method was in use at that time, I bet most traders had problems during that!

So, my fellow trader, if you want to make a point, then pick more "normal" trading environments to make it in. For me, I just post my trades for everyone to see how they come out.

You got a margin call because you were too heavy in trades for the size account.

Just an indy I threw together to place lines at the prices I enter, so that the lines and price labels will move along ahead of the price bars. Still working on it.

The debate of tah trading style has been going for ages. For newer members, TAH found what work for him and he's happy with it; that's the most important thing.

At the end of the day, our OWN account will speak for itself and we can't lie to ourselves.

Will your account stable more than 400 spike? You keep your position more than one day. No one knows what will happen tomorrow. Same spike may happend comming days. So today is real and trade and book your Profit or Loss today and open fresh new position tomorrow. For this reason i am curious about your max risk you put your trading. I was trade using small position but trading against market leads margin call. You said you fell flak going against your statement. Asking question and discussion brings new idea my dear friend.

I am having one suggestion. Adding SS on thread was impossible to track a trader's progress. Plz create demo account of your fav. Mt4 broker and you trade in demo and share the user id and read only password. If demo expires carry forward the balance to next account. Everyone can see your progress and only discussion is on every week end. It will bring new idea and suggestion from all the traders.

I've been asked by others to do things differently. I have no intention to change. I post my trades, start to finish. All important items are clearly labeled. That is sufficient, or at least it is for any reasonable person. I am not a signals provider and I have other demands on my time aside from my input to this thread.

I had open trades back during that spike. So, if you are really interested you can go back and learn what they were and how they came out, because they were posted, start to finish, on this thread.

Let me educate you on an important aspect. Multiple accounts are required in order to be able to have open trades in both directions, which sometimes happens. No single demo account, as you suggested, would suffice to handle the complexities necessary to get around some of the NFA rules such as no hedging and FIFO. I post the way I do so as to keep focus on Sonic R. and to not get involved in all the complexities that we traders must sometimes resort to.

Thanks. This is a good post, simple yet you well explained clearly.

I trade a hybrid grid system and also do not use SL in the conventional way. Instead, I have equity protection as a form of risk managemenet as a safeguard.

Isn't being alive in the markets 4+ years enough justification ? I mean every 2 weeks somebody comes and try to lecture the guy who posts his way of thinking, his trades and the executions of those. Just let the man be. Everyone has the chance to prove himself, if you can do it better well be pro-active and show us

From my point of view, MM strategies vary from different traders, traders from Sonic will use the MM on SL stated from Sonic rules which is stated below. Every system has their own unique SL. We should stick to Sonic rules if we are to succeed with this system. As i have said this is just my view. I might be wrong.

Placement of SL
These are the rules for placement of the SL
1. The SL must be beyond the H/L (for shorts/longs) of the recent large scale price swing.
2. The SL must not be more than 100-120 pips from the EP (for EUR/USD).

What is your problam man. I am only following this thread. First you follow one thread and participate in it. You are jumping form one thread to another. I am trying to learn from TAH and from others. I am not discouraging him. You just 1st understand this.
