k, thx. I meant "valid" as in "valid enough to short after a failed retest of the broken trendline". But I usually donīt do channels, so I was asking for your opinion on this.

I have looked at your AUDUSD post but I do not know anything about elliott waves.
Do you think it will go above 1.04 before breaking 1.00?

UPDATE 2-Japan's government could run out of cash by Oct







TOKYO, July 6 (Reuters) - Japan's government could run out of money by the end of October, halting all state spending including salaries, pensions and unemployment benefits, because of a standoff in parliament that has blocked a bill to finance the deficit.

"Without this bill, the budget will collapse," Finance Minister Jun Azumi said on Friday, pleading for cooperation from the two largest opposition parties.

If the bill is not passed, government spending would grind to a halt, the world's third-largest economy would be put in jeopardy and its standing among credit ratings agencies could suffer.

Japan is not the only developed nation that is staring at an imminent fiscal crisis. Greece's debt-strapped government could run out of money within weeks unless it secures a 31.8 billion euro tranche of bailout funds from the European Union.
The U.S. economy is facing $4 trillion worth of expiring tax cuts and automatic government spending reductions at the end of the year, and a standoff in Congress makes the chance of a compromise over the so-called "fiscal cliff" look dim.

Japan already has the world's largest debt burden at nearly twice the size of its $5 trillion economy

Nowhere,, this is just a trade for a few hours, I guess we've seen the low for this week and I won't hold a long over the weekend.

Meh, 30 pips were better in my pocket, but I call them investment in education. If you're dumb, you lose.

I'll tell you the secret to mastering news releases: don't trade 'em.

So I'm definitely considered a noob but I am lurking in the forums everyday and trading for a few months. This just before news I placed pendings both bear and bull @ 10 pips, then rode the wave and caught most of it.
Just wondering if anyone else does this? Wondering if this is a valid setup most of the time or if I just got lucky!
