We have just a few major FX risk currencies being the AUD/EUR/CAD/NZD/GBP. Now, the EUR has the largest volatility and movement but what happens when people start to cut exposure to Europe?

Where are all those money which needs to find higher return go to? Sure, a portion will be put into the money market(Bonds) but you won't make money there.

Maybe at this moment, AUD is a good place to put your money. But they are exporting to Japan, US and Korea a lot, and there is the possibility of another rate cut.And dont forget about gold.

Canada? When they export more than 70% to the United States? No strategic positioning in the global trade scene? No trade exposure to emerging economies?

Canada's economy hinges on the US's economic health.

And in case you didn't know and you probably don't. USD is a safe haven currency and not a risk currency. People don't hold USD in times of improving times, they hold it during uncertainty.

Thanks, but I still donīt get it. How do you know that bears wanted 2368 back then? Iīm watching a 4H chart and I donīt see why this should be a significant level.

US? It only accounts for 4.8% of their exports so yeah.

Japan and Korea are very significant trade partners however Australia is well positioned. Look at the global trade, many economies are slowing down, some more than others.

When you compare everyone together you will see that Australia is pretty optimistic.

So if you want to argue, I would ask you where would you park your money then?

lets not forget the most costly ingredent in manufaturing is energy.. it cost more then labor. so with cheaper u.s. energy because of recent natural gas/oil development. it puts asia (china) on a more even playing field with the u.s. since china imports most of its energy and commodities. since products are consumed in the u.s. you dont have to ship it across the ocean twice, this also adds to reduce u.s cost. its why places like europe w/o most of either want to build plants in the u.s... the asians are doing the same in the u.s. less shipping makes countries like greece dependent on it, ship less, decreasing gdp further.

i had alert this morning long usd/chf at 95.92 i went long with 5.5 standard lots out at 96.85 it was little early but not too bad for days work what about you?
