Carlos... not sure if wave c of the expanded flat we spoke of is unfolding or not... I hope so, my entry was decent - drawdown total less than 3 pips...

interesting day, had a quick look as what it does to the forecasts.

bear in mind I use last major swing, ABC and 5 wave patterns, fibs etc.

So EU...

Daily has been correcting the 1.328x to 1.228x move and is in a simple ABC but the since it took out 1.240x it means we are still on wave B and not C.

It also means there is not a lot of room left to void the correction if 1.228x gets hit. Taking the todays current low as wave C start (I know not confirmed in anyway) it gives us a nice set of targets - see chart.

An alternative count that shows us in wave 5 of a 5wave pattern indicates two clusters of targets for me (see chart) and we have just nudged the first and it could be that this turns out to be short 5th wave or that we could see a further drop towards 1.216x.

Either way I suspect that tomorrow will give us the answer but all the time we do not breach todays low 1.236x I will looking to take longs from here even if only for the retracement.

Exactly that is why I am not bear yet. Perfect ABC level is 1.2355. So the market could complete the wave X or need to touch 1.2355 to get higher... So I will wait until tomorrow..

Still regreting I sold Euro Aussie 1.30 and closed 1.27. Now, it is at 1.20 What a IDIOT

For someone who is just getting started with EW, this is a great post. Just got started with downloading the PDF's. My beginner's mind tells me that EW is pretty much on the same lines as say trends.. i.e prices tend to move in trends and EW kind of encapsulates the same idea but perhaps takes a different perspective on things.

Thanks a ton nonetheless.

I made little change on my wave count... Just made wave a little longer then yesterday length and give more way to wave 3 after strong rally. Now possible to forecast where will Wave 3 end. 1.2286-89 area fits well Wave 1-2-3, Wave a,b,c and inner wave c fibonacci projections. By the way i have already eliminated bullish count.

TY Der. The problem with beginners are three, that I had:

1. try to find 1-2-3-4-5 waves.

ABC moves more the market

a. what happen if you see 5 waves and the impulsive rules dont match

you have: a b c d e (triangle, diagonal)

also you could have: A a b B C or a b A B C or more could be any correction pattern.

b. what happen if you see 7 waves and the impulsive rules dont match:

you have: A B W X A B Y

what happen if you see 7 waves and the impulsive rules match:

you have a FLAT: A B 1 2 3 4 5 (5 is C, ABC)

c. what happen if you see 9 waves and the impulsive rules match:


you have an extension: 1-2-i-ii-iii-iv-3-4-5

So, there is a lot of possibilities no just 12345 that why people always EW dont work and it is because they dont understand.

2. Second mistake, just look for one count. At least you have to count 5 path and put confirmation price to eliminate them and then you will see which one is better.

3. Dont use just EW to trade you need help it with basics like trendlines, big news (Central Banks, and US) fib, correlations, divergences, etc...
