I didn't jump in on any USD pairs but have been following the EUR/AUD and GBP/AUD recently.

Closed a few trades (EUR/AUD & GBP/AUD) this morning for a total of +903.2 pips.

Strong down trend on monthly & weekly charts. Weekly charts MACD just crossed over so I opened a few short trades on July 1 and July 2.

Also, the AUD has been showing exceptional strength recently. *Entry and exit points can be found in my Trade Report if interested.

If something like that were to actually happen, it would be the end of the world as we know it and you would have to change your surname to Chang or something similar.

Hey my friends, just getting ready to head out to spend the holiday with some family but I wanted to type up a quick analysis to share here.


Current market conditions.



E/U
I Expect E/U to remain in 1.2200-1.2700 range for the next couple of months. In the short-term we may see E/U come under pressure, and potentially re-test 1.2460 as the rate differential between Europe and the US would narrow if the ECB cuts rates.


If we get a 25 basis point cut as expected, there won’t be a huge impact on the euro, as that is certainly wholly priced in. A 50 basis point cut may actually be positive for the euro, while no change would send it lower at this stage(concurrent with PT's assessment)



Some analysts still believe the threat of Greece leaving the euro is being ignored by the markets, with the country yet to agree a renegotiation of its bailout package. Many are looking to next week’s meeting of eurozone finance ministers as the likely forum for renegotiation between Greece and its eurozone partners. A disappointing outcome would weigh on the value of the euro.


GBP/USD
Bank of England to boost quantitative easing by GBP50bn to GBP375bn after the economy slipped into a double dip recession at the start of this year and economic data has remained weak in the second quarter. I am looking for cable to channel in between the 1.5271 and the 1.5695 throughout the summer before a break lower in the Mid-term as the recession takes its toll on the British economy.

Hey Thanks Swiss! I am not very good with the real technical stuff yet so I try to find a strong trend and ride it up or down, depending on the direction, while using bigger SL's and TP's.

I personally have a hard time using tight stops, so I do what I know best. Most of the time it works for me!

Well, right now you're better then the 90% of retail traders out there. Sometimes it's better not to overload yourself with info. Over analyzing is the kiss of death......Keep up the good work bud.

Coming from an experienced trader like yourself that means a lot Swiss!

You're right, when there's too much info, it's easy to get overwhelmed due to information overload!

By the way, I finally got my keyboard working! Now I don't have to rely on my stupid "on screen keyboard" to type simple posts. LOL.

this low liquidity has me scalping U/C against my target for 10 pips. and I'll continue to ping pong 10 pips at a time until it continues it's trend and manages to drill down the cement support that lies @ 1.0120
