This week will more than likely be a slow week as we are waiting for the "news" which comes out later this week. Also, US holidays on the 4th which means less volume and liquidity.

I am currently looking for a daily close under 1.0160 to confirm my shorts all the way to par.
Wondering who's long and for what reason?

Hey, I have a question for those who may know.. Does crude oil fluctuate during the same hours and days as forex? Sunday 5pm EST to Friday 5pm EST? Or it crude oil subject to market hours? If so, which market? Thanks in advance guys

Hey D2tz,

I occasionally trade Crude Light and you can trade it pretty much all day along with Forex. Volume is often times "light" Intraday though. I try and stick to the D1 with Oil.

**I normally set SL: 250 and TP: 500 with Oil. You get a lot of movement with when it is volatile!

Here is te last Oil trade I made. As you can see from the chart there were multiple confirmations.

1) Overbought on the D1 (williams %)
2) MACD crossed over on the D1
3) Sell signal (red arrow) based off of Moving Averages.


**Entered on the following D1 candle at about 102 and hit the TP in 1 week. The main thing we need to be careful of is sideways movement, wait for a clear break out.

I wish I could trade oil, but it can't be leveraged anymore here in Canada from y understanding to prevent speculative trading on commodities.

No problem D2! When it comes to non-currency pairs I personally like trading Oil, Gold, and the DOW due to the volatility!

I have a strong suspicion that Obama will attack Iran after winning the presidential election. The technical attacks with computer viruses was only designed to delay Iranian nuclear progress. The question to be asked is what are they delaying it for?. With no political progress in Iran, I strongly believe that a attack is imminent.

For that to happen Iran has to make an aggresive move troughward the rest of the world.
China and Russia also blocked sanquions against Syria.

And does the US want another war in the middle east, they don't have the money nor the moral i think and i don't think europe will happly jion another war in the Middle east whiche will cost alot of money which they don't have.

Also an war on Iran might surge the oil prices whiche is not good for a recovering (world)economy

Only would send prices up if it actually happens. Oil prices should stay relatively low til after the election. Maybe you didn't see this. Not the only place I've heard this.

OK, cool. That's what I've been thinking. Isn't this the 4th Bill they've passed this year in regards to closing the Strait of Hormuz?

Long from 1.0160. Mainly because of many positions from 1.0225 to 1.0350 without SL.
