yesterday is a bad day. today is my lucky day. all positions close with +++.

Finally TAH it break up. did u close all your positions? i think that high enough. better start for another opportunities.

Hello Friends,

Here Interesting points about Buying and Selling read and enjoy!

Many of you notice in a normal market condition when you go Long it takes longer time to reach your target than Short.

This is because when you buy in the market there should be some support that helps to keep the price high. That kind of support provider is nothing but Smart Money and the bigger institutions. If they sense the market will reach high then they come and support for buying and start do their dirty tricks in the market such as shaking the market and panic buyers and hunt SL to get their entry price much lower. Once they found there is no selling then they drive the market into high price. Once a novice buyers seen higher price they he feels market is trending and jump into buying. This will boost the price up. Once the price reach new high, the smart money silently sells into what others buying and they keep themself buying to support the price level. But their buying is lower than selling which keep price level stable and make the selling unknown from novice buyers. But reading volume will show that. Reading and analyzing volume is quite difficult.

Some of you again and again asking lession about VSA. Here the thread I was coming across but you have to read 1500 pages.

Once Smart Money sold all what they bought in lower price then they will stop support buying. Once there is no support in higher price, market will moves sideways and automatically price drops and all the panic buyers starts sell what they brought in higher price. Interesting point here is no one supports while price drops down. Smart Money and bigger institutions won't support while price drops. No one willing to buy and support at higher price. This is the reason when you are in short your TP reach quickly.

The Smart Money again and again testing the market for no further selling. Once they found no further selling, they starts from the beginning. Here you note that after market reach certain lower level, you can see a bar close is higher than open indicates trend is about to change no further selling available. Fine example is Hammer and Inverted Hammer.

So remember Smart Money buying at lower price and selling at higher price and try wisely trade along with them.

Hi TAH,

I am trying to understand how you use mental SL against hard SL.
In this EU trade, your EP 1.2517, and the market went against you for more than 110 pips.
Where do you have your metal SL?
With profit of 78pips, your mental SL more than 110 pips, this is less than 1R trade.

Do you trade using single entry single exit?
or
Do you use multiple entries and single exits?

How do you size your positions using mental SL method?

Look forward to hear from you as I see many traders here would love to learn this method and become profitable in the long run.

First, as I have stated in the past, I trade very light relative to account size. So, this is not a good use of the time value of money. I have never been successful using a SL, always torn between a tight SL, and perhaps having to jump right back in a trade after a whip, and using a really large SL like 100+ pips and beyond the day range marks. Somehow, I ended up essentially trading without a SL,.....a mental SL which I'd just readjust to stay in a trade I believed in. Over time, most trades become profitable. Practically all of them. But the time factor can cause much aggravation and frustration. So I don't recommend my method, and never have.

I am working to change how I trade, and finding it difficult. But now and then I see progress. I have much fewer "add-on" entries to trades than before, and that is at least a start in the right direction.

I have been posting my trades on this thread for a very long time. So, If you want to, you can always go back and review them to confirm the very high percentage that are profitable. You can also see the many that had to run for a very long time before they became profitable. A poor use of the time value of money. Again, I do not encourage anyone to trade like this. And I am trying to ween myself away from it.

Hi love..

there is a popular saying: 'Cut Losses Short, and Let Profits Run'.
this is easy to say, but not so easy to do as a trader.

my belief is that only a proven money management strategy and proper position sizing will make a big difference to become a successful trader.

for every valid trade setup, we must have also a invalidation setup or condition to let us know when to cut loss. This is a mind games everday when I trade. Every trader must know how to manage his/her own trading psychology and this is the biggest part of the whole trading game.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Sorry that I ask those questions as I am still new to this thread and started reading post#1 for about 4 months, now at reaching July 2009 posts. I fast forward to the current posts and keep in pace with you all.

With your explanation, I now have an understanding of your money management strategy. I attended Dr Van Tharp courses and I learned about money management and position sizing, and lots of stuff about trading psychology.
Reading what you wrote, I can conclude that mental SL is definitely not for me. It won’t work for me to trade this way because I trade for a living and treat trading as a business. This is one instance where I learn things which I should not do. I hope you will find way to wean yourself out of what you are currently doing.

By the way, I give you full credit for the great amount of time and effort you put in developing and supporting the TAH indicators resources. I looked into the mq4 codes and I must say you are very well verse with mql4 programming and overcome the limitations of MT4, you are so creative in this area … among the best I have seen here in FF. Dragon coding structure is marvelous. If there is an Oscar award for this, you get my nomination for sure.

This is a fantastic thread, I can’t imagine it without your leadership here.

Usualy market move in london sesion for BB doing their fancy move,but this look suspicious with 200 pip move for asian sesion?whay the BB decided to made the move in asian sesion?where is the logic to act in such manier?

Because they may expect lower trend and is weak. So they move the price high and selling at high price. I am expecting EU will move sideway and finally big drawdown. Chek my post #36584.

there is no logic, and it will happen when you least expected...who are the BB? with such co-ordinated effort to move against both USD and JPY at same time? any guess ... the clue is in CCYCHF
