Ah yeah I see ... agreed by the big 4 you mentioned perhaps but the Irish are against any tax if Britain doesn't adopt it too (cause their Dublin financial services sector would lose big business to London), and Britain don't want it cause they fear London losing out to NY, Tokyo etc. So don't hold your breath for any unanimous "agreement" on this at this summit .... unless they "make an offer that can't be refused!"Ignored

Policy because they have to right now. As they rebuild from their complete meltdown business with London is vital. Plus Britian is literally in a depression in every quantifiable statistic. Without the heavy handed moves of the BOE they would have collapsed in the truest sense and cable would be trading at 1.2. So of course they would adamantly oppose any financial taxes which hamstring their recovery attempts.
