Guys, is here some expert on commodities who could expand on my basic thoughts? I still didnt have enough time to fully study this subject, yet I am aware of the fact that since major commodities are denominated in USD it has heavy impact on our pair.

Lets say we have major importer - US
They import Oil and since it is their currency, which is the reserve one, they dont need to buy in order to pay for invoice. So they buy oil, USD will stay somewhere in Africa or Asia as an FX reserve and part of these "exported bucks" would be coming back into US economy via Treasuries once foreign entity rebalances portfolio. This creates deflation pressure on USD and therefore, FED has to ease.
Is this, what I have just written BS? If it is not, do you have any clue of how much of world production US buys? And btw, why is US so fixated on crude and aint buying Brent? And most importantly - how much of "exported bucks" could come back via Treasuries, Equities, etc.

To make it more simple, we have more importers of Oil than US.
Those guys need to buy USD first, in order to pay for their Oil. They dont necessarily have to buy it on the US market, they can buy it anywhere in the world. So if they buy it somwhere else than US, this amount (which can be huge) doesnt create deflation pressure and moreover, part of this sum is again returned to US via Treasuries etc.

Well, that is the base for debate. I could probably go on, but I am not sure that what I write is correct and dont want to humiliate myself more than necessarry. I will be glad if someone expands, especially if he posts some numbers or links.

the picture too small , cant see the bars on the left , Hs usually exist after long(i mean long,not buy) bull/bear moves

babypips.com/school , for complete and clear explanation and other (i recommend read it all from very beginning to end without jumping to other page/chapter)

You are talking major leagues mate. Maybe you want to start simplifying the equation (for currencies trading purposes) and link oil via inflation first. The basic premise, cheaper oil, push inflation lower. And second, lower oil prices via economic slowdown push inflation pressures even lower via economic output contraction.

What you mentioned is not BS at all but it maybe way too complex and "irrelevant" for just trading currencies. Of course, if you want to explore OIL and Treasuries trading independently you may need to add not only this but a whole bunch of other interrelated factors in the equation...
