I am trying to transition from my day job to exclusively trading for a living right now. I do not sleep along living in GMT-8. Up at 11-12 to see how frank opens and how london reacts, up at 2:30 to see what kind of progress london is making, then up again at 5am to watch the new york open and look for other opportunities.

good luck, i have that dream as well. i wish i could finally make it a reality. i believe it takes a lot of mistakes to make a good trader. i've made them all 10x over. it would be a great way (and slightly boring at times) to make a living.

the easiest way to do it is to save up at least $50,000 from your job first and then just quit working. While you are saving this money you should be demoing and make sure you know what you are doing

Then again I had a job that was making $100k+ a year so it was easy for me to transition.
Be patient, dont risk more money in the trades to try to speed up the process if you are trying to start with a small account

Most times, it's about paying attention to details. Shall we pay attention to this?

Day 1: range day
Day 2: outside day taking out stops
Day 3: inside day
Day 4: doji day showing indecision
Day 5: bear day showing decision
Day 6: range day showing bulls trying to fight
Day x: dead bulls on the run...

The second ellipse around 1.2807
Fill in the gaps...

This lifestyle is not sustainable.. you will burn out eventually. Your health is more important than trading.

$50k is a little optimistic. Are you planning to make 100% per year? Even then, that's only an ordinary salary...

Some of those figures there are tainted to be more pleasing, the true Debt-GDP ratios that include financial debts are much much higher

Look at the 10y yield to know who is really at risk...

Belgium FE is not because:
1) Their own population buys its paper ( willing to buy 3X to 4X what is offered)
2) Has in absolute numbers, a low debt

As you know, that isn't true for Spain, portugal, Ireland,...
