i am long from 1.2523 with stop 1.246. love 50% fib bounces. if the green line gets broken, target is 1.285. cheers. ps: anyone could jump in when markets open - wait for gapfill get long stops under 1.252. make sure price is backing up your bias.

Wooohooo. My new core macro for peakfinder is working. Red lines are automatically selected peaks within timeserie. Program runs only few seconds and you can set minimum strenght of a wave (lets say wave must be higher than 25% of previous one). Thx for idea PT. Get ready for new wave of Statisics this week.

Now I just need to search for parts of code to make statistics running properly. And automatically ofc .

what is the idea behind it? what ru u trying to achieve with this? how its going to help one with trading?what kind of edge it give?how is it going to be superior to what we r already doing?

well in cycle research its always beneficial to identify the max and min points against some sort of time series so you can try to develop a starting point for whatever cycle you are studying

We have a 30 pip gap down so far.
Of course it doesn't mean much until most brokers open in 25 minutes.

can u elobrate a bit more in simple language please.if i correctly understand, ur trying to tell me something about sine wave and analysis but its not clear.

I'm really not an elliot wave guy... but, if i was... i'd say we are likley entering wave 3 here to the downside. or are darn close to it.

personally, i'm short the NZD against the USD. rather than the E/U short.

both the euro and kiwi look to fall against the USD... but, when i check out the eur/nzd, it looks like it very well could bounce up. at very least, it seem sto be consolidating and not really close to breakin out.

so, if it goes up... nzd/usd will be the better short, at least from these prices here.

but who knows. my darts are rusty anyway.

Which time frame are you looking at? A chart with annotations would help.

There are just so many ways how to explore market. This program is exploring one of them. It is focused on wave strenght and forming zones of possible retracement. This program I was writing is core of whole code. My old core had been selecting false peaks/lows (+ it took awfully long) so I was unable to apply whole program on longer timeserie. Once I connect this new core to the rest of the program, I can explain more. It is much easier to understand how it works once you see it with charts.

Edit 4 neuron: Yes, it is very closely connected to cycle research. I assume, that if one properly sets parameters for finding waves, he can combine cycles of several economical variables (lets say DJIA, GDP, Treasury, ...). And then we add Kondratieff, Kitchin, Juglar and Berry cycles, and then I get lost in numbers.
