Hi Erebus, I have just about finished going through the thread etc and wanted to thank you for posting the charts etc as it really helps with understanding the system.

Could you (or any other experienced Nb.10.0 user) confirm the entry point of the bounce on this trade, was it a bounce back to a MA line etc?

Also a big thanks to Bob for such a great thread

Took CADJPY long yesterday on the daily.

I am still having trouble with exists. Did anyone go short on USDCHF a few days ago? Are you still in the trade or when did you exit? I am not inclined to close a trade when slope drops back below 0.4 within a few bars of my entry, but maybe I should. I am going test exits, but what are others doing in this situation?

1) keep lot size small
2) TP at next weekly S/R level or Monthly such level if that is close by
3) if losing exit when D1 slope gets below o.4 or above -0.4. yes we have to accept this fact that there will be loses.
4) entry should be in D1 trend direction and on cross of pivot (any close by) or S/R level (depends on which group they belong) or cross of MA lines. for groups 1-3 I like to see strong cross of S1/R1 lines and also that D1 slope of the stronger currency (on currency slope strength indicator) is over 0.8 or atleast 0.6

so for CADJPY trade on D1 is ranging with UT bias so long is the call. Entry on close above DP on H4 and TP1 WR1 and TP2 is WR2 both hit. OR close above MP and TP WR2
now wait for long again when H4 candle closes above DP.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I have been doing all sorts of Crazy trades but now this makes a whole lot of Sense, I had been wandering where to enter and exit trades, don't get me wrong I read the Book but I knew that there was something as simple as what you Illustrated that I had not fully Grasped in short missed out .

Thanks Ripper, As for CADJYP on D1, with my broker I am not showing ranging. Slope was above 0.4, weekly histo green, and price crossed the monthly pivot and was above the blue line on the 20th. So I entered there with a stop near the monthly support 1. Looking at monthly resistance 1 as posible TP or might let it run until slope drops. If slope drops below 0.4 at the candle close, I will exit for gain or loss. Are you exiting at the close of the bar or intrabar when slope falls below .4? I am thinking that close of the candle is wiser (on the daily) when the slope is moving aorund 0.4 intrabar.

The repainting of the slope indicator has the potential make a prior entry look great or horrible after the fact. Forward testing only.

I am not trading this pair as my broker data shows D1 ranging.

Ok so this is how I trade.

Dashboard helps me get pairs with D1 over 0.4, then I go to H4 charts for them and see if they have crossed any major level. If so I take the trade in trend direction but if not and instead going other way I wait for retacement on H1. I also look at currency slope strength cross on H1 to confirm that the strong one is actually strong currency.
E.g. I see long AUDJPY setup per D1 but it went down below DP yesterday so waited for close above DP on H1 to get long. It will probably do that at close of hour now. I use MPTM so only enter and let EA do the job for me (25+5 with jump 10pips and basket SL of 50 pips per pair and TP per pair of 50 pips).

BTW I am trading 10.2 live with this method since yesterday.

Sounds like a solid approach Ripper, although too short term for my time. I am staying within the daily or 4H for now with larger stops and low lots, which makes my exits and pair selection more important than my entries.

BTW, which criminal are you using, if I may ask. For now, I am using MBT on MT4.

Since I am in EST zone so London session trading for now is not possible. Hence trade during Asia and NY only and therefore H1 instead of H4. I though started testing this system on H4 and was promising so thought why not H1 (got tip from Jemook-thanks to him)

I had wanted to have the same MT4 interface as you had in your screen print attachment of your earlier post but after downloading and adding your Indicator to my Experts/Indicator folder in my Meta trader 4 Folders I still come up with the Original blue or Red 10.2 interface, if you check the attachment I included with my earlier post you will see what I am referring to, I need to be seeing a Black interface like yours on my Monitor, that's what I am after.

Long term view: look for aud and nzd to be going down after this nice little rally. Some important news as to why. Sell those rallies. I dont know how this will affect the Cad long term because it will be tied up more into the USA economy.

Copper is at its six-month low, and Chinese stocks of the metal are said to be at all-time highs. There are reports from serious sources that Chinese commodity buyers (of coal, etc.) have lost their financing for long-term contracts at higher prices. Supposedly, there are some 30 large ships full of coal, sitting out of port waiting for the money to clear.
I got this note from good friend Simon Hunt (Hunt Strategic Services, www.shss.com), who has been visiting China 8+ times a year for decades to observe commodity consumption. He has particular expertise in copper, but he watches all the commodities.
"First, we were told from friends in Australia that China had suspended payments on coal contracts from Australia. Then from associates in Shanghai we were told that there are large stocks of coal at the big ports in northern China; that a significant tonnage of coal imports have either been postponed or importers have just defaulted on their purchases.
"There are two basic reasons for this impasse. First, underlying demand is weak – just as it is for other commodities that are heavily dependent on real estate and infrastructure – and, second, banks have become increasingly cautious in their lending. For many importers, their collateral has become impaired and banks are not prepared to either open LCs or extend loans to these companies.
"We get a similar message from the credit markets: liquidity is tight and banks are able obtain rates in the high double-digit numbers. We also hear that a similar situation is occurring in the iron ore market. We must think too that copper will soon be caught up in this network, especially when the material is being imported for financing purposes and not for furnaces."

Hey everybody,

first of all: Wow nice system. I have studied it over the weekend and it helped me a lot to understand general trend movements in the FX Market (I am new to FX - just started a month ago).

Its one of the first system I see at Forex Factory which makes common, logical sense to me. Good job - I can see how much work was done

I am currently trying out the system (10.2) and would like to know whether I applied it correctly.

1) I looked at the 1 Day Chart at EUR / USD. The market was ranging.
2) I looked at the 4 H Chart (see Attachement). The TMA is -0.74 (strong short signal). the Candel started below the MAs - so I took a short from 1.2524 - TP: 1.24800.
3) I would extend my TP if the PIVOT line is broken and the TMA is still over -0.4

I have got 2 Questions:
A) Do I have to wait until the Candle is CLOSED on the 4H chart - or can I go into the short trade as soon as a short candle starts?
B) What general SL rules do apply to the system? Should I use Pivot lines SL indicators? (could be a very high SL though )

This system is based on crossing lines and not time, even though most of my trades occur during the euro and usa sessions. Place your trades with pending orders crossing S/R/Pivots or trendlines like the MA lines. These are the most common trades.

I just managed to figure out one last thing that you can do for us here with this TMA Slope Indicator Histogram, It will just make it almost perfect.
Please can you kindly Tweak it so that we can have the Lines showing, I know it involves a bit of Hard work on your path and it might kind of take you away from your Very Busy Trading Money Minting Schedule but we or rather those that will Benefit from your efforts will be forever grateful for your Additional Good work to Enhance the Quality of the 10.2 System..
