I believe the VPS is really only beneficial if your using an EA.

And, I believe the quote freezing is found on all the brokers - although I would say I see more of it using MT4 than Oanda's Fx Platform.

vps virtual private server, broker recommended vps usually located on same data center and have direct connection to broker (less than 10ms), it can overcome routing issue but not other issue, Pepperstone/axi well known for feed freeze.

I have a pepperstone razor account as well, and it froze up for a bit right around the time you posted. I also have a vps 1ms away from their NY server.. So yeah, they are being full of shit. I have seen a number of freezes at bad times lately.

Yeah. I got so fed up at his copy/paste and inability to explain the product, I just ended our "pleasant" chat.

What do you guys recommend? Should I put up with Pepperstone for these few months? It'll take me about 7 more months before I fulfill the requirement to open an account with a prime brokerage.

I'm with Oanda not had many probs at all happy with them.have a look on forex peace army at diff broker reviews

EUR from 1.2596 to a high of 1.2617 in the last few 15 minute time periods.
