Don't we all? We have been ranging for 4 days already, weekly is threatening to put us into a range too.

I took my longs out and took a cheap short - it seems like EURO is building a top on H1 (also running out of extension time) and USD is trying to take a ~7 hour step up (H1). It's definitely not a clear market situation...

I guess you can use what ever time you want.... but if you want the time everyone else is using, you'd use 5PM to 5PM... Take a look at the chart and ask yourself if the market is respecting the pivot or not.

A lot of tech analysis works because everyone agrees a certain level is signifigant.... its a self fullfilling prophecy. To calculate the same pivot point everyone else agrees on you have to use the one calculated from a 5PM daily close.

I don't use any pivot points, there may be some on my chart but i don't use them.

It's just a level i've drawn over which was relevant to me over the past few weeks/months.

But it's ranging right now...i may call it a day

The pair hasnt completed its mission to reach the next resistence...so there is still a pressure of the bulls and this pressure will not stop until the price reaches 1,2860-1,2890....

Then we can decide wat will happen...but it can be told that the price might encounter high volume sellers at those levels...here is the weekly map for EURUSD...and the second pic is the daily map...

ok, apply a line at ~90-85 and ask yourself is the market is respecting the line or not

This might not be the place but just a general inquiry. I know there are a lot of traders here who I believe are very good and I know who's opinion I regard highly and who's isn't worth even a penny.

I have always used indy's,trendlines,S&R and PA for my trading.But recently Ive tried to trade without the indy's.And have found it quite hard.

Do you think one must try to work toward trading without the indy's to become a better trader or are there some of you who don't mind trading with some indy's forever?

Trading is hard. If you do better with an indicator then use it! There really is no right or wrong way to trade. As long as you make money and are consistent.

but the PPs are supposed to be OBJECTIVE, how the hell can they be objective is the difference is so big????

Some indicators are helpful, and I have tailored the ones that I find useful to my style. I have only been trading for two months, but my eyes have been able to spot a lot of information of the charts quickly now, and the indicators are just a confirmation.
