I don't think any such thing will happen. they will probably say something diff tomorrow and something diff on friday.

average yields have gone down on US bonds. this is a good sign for the american economy. bid to cover was high too.

i'm personally expecting a downmove to 2545 in the near term (2 hours)

waiting for a confirmation on the M5 chart then entering at the end of retracement.

Well, that was the news.. But yes, these clowns always say something different.. TBH, I don't really care because I know they lie every time they open their mouth. But the market moves on anything, lies included..

Judging by the way it moved up just as the US market opened I think it was a dollar lend market and had little to do with euro strength or weekness etc..

When its during US market hours and looks like its dollar driven (people selling dollars and not really yearning to buying EURO) then I alway question the integrity of the trading and mostly just follow the trend regardless of fundamentals and technical.

I think today the americans thought that the senate hearing and questioning of jamie diamon may get ugly regarding US banking methods and risk taking. They began to sell dollars right at the start of the open and keep selling until the hearing was over in a successful attempt at preventing a sell off as all this bad questioning was taking place. Though I dont think they were really seeking euros as they were selling but more probably selling dollars and buying S&P futures again as a damage control for the senate hearings. Just as the questioning was finished, the dollar selling stopped quickly now we are trading in a more normal supply demand session.

When you hold the worlds reserve currency and have been know to be in a printing phase, it seems possible to manipulate markets as needed both dollar currency and S&P. US stock markets usually move higher when US dollar is weak so selling dollars is one way to help guide the stock market in case of some terrible selling..monday US stocks was already bad enough I think they hope for a more stable market as the week finishes

Alright, I am also waiting confirm with the 5min chart for short for only 10-20pips target with the 1:1 risk ratio. Let's wait we can get the opportunity if it's holding below 1.2600 (looks strong resistance in NY session) now.

Positioning in Euro Means it Rises if No Bad News

12:43 EDT - Positioning in the euro is likely to lead the euro to grind higher against other major currencies when there are no major headlines to dictate trading, says Omer Esiner of Commonwealth Foreign Exchange. With traders holding record bets against the currency, they are likely to pare some of those positions or take profits on days where there isn't any major news to drive down the euro such as Wednesday's trading, he says. That said, Esiner says that any rally in the euro is a good time to sell because rallies are likely to be short-lived with risks still heavily leaning to the downside. Esiner says the euro could track down to $1.2286 quickly depending on the results of the Greek elections and Italian bond auctions in the coming days. On Wed, it's up about 0.75% at $1.2597, according to EBS via CQG.

I am currently long on the eur/usd at 1.2523 when price closed above the coral moving average.

We can see the trendline that supports the move to the north in red.

I will take my profits around 1.2650, previous high reached last Sunday
