In long again on Euro, got a slightly lower entry than where I was stopped out. Seeing the 15min 21ma supporting price, doesn't look like much bear momentum. Entry at 30 with stop at 23

Taking half off here, +15 pips (better than 1:2 R/R), and near resistance

mmm... stopped out to the pip. I had a feeling I had moved my SL too soon, I should have kept it where it was in hindsight, but wanted to get some lunch, and not be tied to the PC. Oh well still at least it's not a loss

Morning,

Took a short on the GU, away from the 15M 10 EMA at the touch at 58 and covered 1/2 at 48. S/L at 66 so B/E +1 on position. GU is looking weak compared to AU/EU today.

I was planning to take the 1H 62 EMA touch but missed it. Yes, I prefer to get covered and then let 1/2 run.

I took a couple bonehead trades yesterday and then got shaken out on an AU long right before it really took off into the close.

Had a really good day on Monday so just need to keep my patience and discipline and the consistency will follow.

You have a lower trendlline on the 1hr to get through too at about the 30 level (and the daily pivot, 50and 62ma's!), but euro and aussie are starting to weaken a little, so that should help.

I think you are always going to get trades when you are stopped out only to see it take off without you, no matter where you put it- that's just trading!

Also been watching this TL on the AU 1H which has held for this entire bull move...

And the EU 1.2500 level looks like it would be a good resistance turned support level with the 1H 62 and the Weekly pivot confluence.

Thanks Trader131, I'll put ur suggestions into practice, and keep posting and learning this method, btw I'm using ForexTester2 simulator, and have a very profitable track record, wich somehow doesn't translate into the live market, probably because of speed issues...but again, ur tips helped a lot.

Morning Dharma,

I close my long several minutes after the news right in the middle of the long candle up. Load some short and add another after it looks like revisit of the broken neckline.

We have support near fib, this one is strong but I think I will be just fine with my short.

Looks like you are shorting right at the 15m 50EMA area and just above the major confluence at 2510 or so. Personally, I would have been looking to cover 1/2 of your first short where you added to the position.

In looking at the EU 1H 62 again the only thing I'm not sure about is the flatness of it. I need to review but seem to recall that the angle should be steep when taking the touch trade. Of course you have the other support just under your entry point as well...
