FWIW: food sensitivities have a tremendous impact on the immune response of most people, both innate and acquired at any age. But, as you get older (and I speak from EXPERIENCE here) the effect is much greater.
Antibiotics can do only so much, especially if your own microbial little friend has picked up some defensive DNA along the way (eg: MRSA).
I have kept a food diary now for several decades of my adult life, and the effect of choosing foods that don't cause the slightest disturbance is amazing in terms of immunity.
But if you haven't kept a diary or noticed the effect of foods, I can give you a shortcut: completely end consumption of any food that you crave. Begin eating only foods that you are nutritious, but to which you are totally indifferent. If I'd known that years ago, it would have saved me so much time.
The two main effects I notice are that I never get colds or the flu; and, that headaches and symptoms of arthritis disappear completely.

Really I know how important food is, I eat a lot of tomatoes and spinach and water melon and wheat bread and salmon and Greek yogurt and banana's and beer and vodka.
But, it's an individual thing. Maybe each of those foods is clean burning for your enzyme matrix.
Wow! I wish I could eat all that stuff and still feel like a thirty-year old.

Ok... I think I can feel you pulling my leg - but, in case you're not: it's an individual thing. If I ate what's on your list, I swear I'd be dead by now! (with the exception of salmon, which I eat everyday because for me it's clean burning)
But, it's an individual thing. Maybe each of those foods is clean burning for your enzyme matrix.
