well I guess that all depends on your broker,
I was short on eurcad and had a sl last 2 weeks ago and sl was hit during the weekend and moved around 30 pips north and then 50 pips south. when the broker opened nothing happened and i closed the order manually, it's a bit strange but let's see what will happen today after it opens

Yea tell me about it! I can't even do any short term trades with my current broker, they "slippage" always eats my profits. I am looking for a new broker soon as I have talked to them about the problem but they have not fixed it.

So.... like I was saying... I have found in my experience when the market has really bad news coming out about it.... but it actually is able to move up, instead of down... this is indicating an incredibly strong market.

I would now say without really any hesitation... fear clearly thought the E/U price should be lower than the market did.

and everyone knows the market is always right.

I was short on friday @1.259, took partial profit @ 1.244 and moved my sl to 1.257. I am curious what will happen when market opens. will it close my order at the current price or will it be the sl? Let's see

Pips,
Why did you short on Friday and put another sell limit in before market closed? There were numerous posts on here Friday re: market moving events over the weekend. If you're an intraday trader, next time maybe you should stay on the sidelines til markets open after the weekend. Don't have SL/limit orders open or left through the weekend. Hopefully everything works out and you don't get burn. Happy trading.

Unfortunately you will NOT be guaranteed your designated SL price. It will most likely be where price is, when your broker opens. Hopefully not.

Hey Swiss,

You're right, this past week was actually a bad week for me, it seems as though psychologically I've been trying to make up for lost pips. Which is a very bad thing.

I probably need to sit this thing out for a few more days and get my mind right.
