eur will rally, lot of people are bullish already, bail out to the spanish banks is also a good sign. it had to be done and it should sort out the problems. if you dont treat the problem they only get worse. action is better then no action. problems being fixed means the outlook is brighter rather then darker. so it should rise. stability is what people want to see in the eur zone

of course ,but I am big bear lol ,really carfull of news it can have supprising results often will leave you scratching head ,
but also I see if your expert on news this is also possible of course
if your new to FX like me (5years), not worth trying imo

Why do you feel fundamental or news is just noise? And isn't it possible for someone to have a strategy and a trading plan around news/fundamentals that would provide a good probability?

I'm just curious as to why you believe this...I feel it's a limiting view, but I would like to see why you feel this is so....

yes ofc anything can happen, but i'd argue that spanish bailout = progress and attempts to keep the eurozone stable/together and thus at this point of time - a brighter outlook.

I like your charts from what i've seen bones, for the most part...

but i really feel very different about the news. it's just a different form of analysis, that requires a different skill set, but is not more difficult and in many ways no less helpful than technical analysis.

remember when you first started, and you saw a green candle, and you went long...only to find yourself scratching your head when the next candle was red, and so was your open position...?

I remember... but over time, as you learned more about it, and probably spent a good deal of dedicated time learning all about different ways to interpret charts and such...you finally started to have it "click"

then, now, you can absolutly tell with a high degree of confidence when a green candle means buy, or when a green candle is basically irrelevent.

sentiment analysis is very much the same thing... but where as aspects of technical analysis have had many volumes published on it...a few great, most just basic and some downright crap....

sentiment analysis i've only ever seen one book that focused on it.... great book too, by a "real" retail day trader. old school guy...forget his name. gary something.

Anyway, you REALLY gotta figure it out yourself...but, just like a chart... with enough time and observation, the patterns it shows can be just as effective of an edge as a bullish engulfing candle on a daily chart after dropping into a major support level...

Point taken ,I must agree ,I suppose I haven't put any effort in here at all ,my mind simply is not good at taking data in I suppose ,certain mind ,defiantly agree you can do ,

also if you do I suppose better to concentrate on a couple of currencies ?

but news from complete other currency somtimes affect all

warning to u guys........we are in a major downtrend now....look into the monthly chart, we can see 1.18782 as the low.......this month we will surely hit that low and proceed lower

saw the low between 1.16376 and 0.82495? that is the space where we gonna reach soon this month

ya...and sometimes divergence on other charts screws up my trade

again... it's just a new bag of tricks. with charts, one is wise to consider multiple time frames, the "quality" of the price action, what other correlated markets are doing (if your long GU, but EU and AU and EJ are crashing... this won't help your long GU trade...etc)

I mean, heck, sometimes, those pinbars are like 100% perfect reversal signals! and other times, i just instalose...

but, if one considers the proper context of it all, from correlated markets, to multiple time frames, to what recent price action has shown, to the size of the candles, where S&R is...etc..

one can eventually consider enough factors that are relevent, and get a really good idea of what should be taken, and what is just another colored bar on grid with funny numbers.

anyway, just my 2 cents. take it or leave it

Actually bones, if u wanna get a bit more detailed, I have a journal on here that I have posted I think a full day of my own sentiment analysis write ups... and you can check the day that it was for, and how the markets performed based on what I concluded from "news articles" and rumors.

It still kinda surprises me just how effective this form of analysis can be if it's developed and fine tuned.

Here's that link... just look through it, and you'll find some of my write ups within the first 2-3 pages I think...

the trick is to trade 30min chart and above.......just tell yourself that if u can increase your account by 10 times a year is a great achievement already....do that for 3 years and u have 3 more '0' behind your account

Hmm...looks like the orders die off about 2700+... feels like a good possible target price for any developing longs to run short stops and take profits with them...

and as for the massive open short position compared to long positions open from below current traded price... lol

it really won't take much to get price shoved up to at least the 2700 region it seems.

but, who knows. I actually don't have much experience developing trade ideas off of oandas data such as this... so i'm pretty much just blowing smoke here.
