Once GBP pulls back that's it for the euro holding so strong here

edit :or back to daily pivot 2533, I just dont see how/why we would go higher, technically but especially fundamentally. I guess it's jsut a short cover until we know what is going on with QE3, if we don't get QE3 will probably see 200 pip drop that day

probably smarter just to stay out of long term positions and just scalp, until Bernanke gives us some direction, thats why i have tight stops

Hmmm. Not sure about that. Perhaps you're just saying that coz you're short so you've developed a bit of a bias.

I'm probably the biggest Euro Bear on this thread and even I see today as a bull day. Could be wrong though and if I am, I would be quite happy with a drop from here. After all, I am all short.

thinking gbp move will cap at 1.56 for today, hopefully that puts Euro at 1.262 cap

just seeing no reason for breaking through this extreme resistance area here.

its ALL GBP causing this..imo. only 30 pip move from euro, 100+ from gbp

i also dont see how it could be a bull day when NY yesterday into London today have already been bulls

keep in mind, im just going with what looks natural on the charts, and this far up in the euro without a pullback does not sit right in my mind

of course i have bias though..but QE3 must seriously be on the table if we have retraced 300 pips already..

Never underestimate the power of a short squeeze.

Also consider that if the GBP has had its rally and most other risk assets followed it, then in all probability, the ones that lagged will catch up. That's usually what happens with divergences. In bond spreads, it's called the compression trade... kind of like a "fill the gap"

It's funny how I knew I should go long after NFP initial surge retraced that much but did not. However, I certainly did not expect this big of a retrace.

Maybe 38.2 fib retrace will cap it, 1.2670 area

edit: this is why I scalp, far more profitable (for me) and far less stressful, and i personally think its much riskier to predict market movements. look at Euro short squeeze in 2008 due to QE.

in your defense PT, i almost never fade my algorithm, which is long in all time frames. except daily, weekly,monthly

probably will get stopped out but seriously, its freaking 1.262! good luck!

Until early this morning, I had a sell limit at 1.2618
I moved it up to 1.2667 because it made more sense for a few reasons

1. 1.2667 is the 38.2% fibo of the move down from 1st May high
2. The E/U typical daily range is 100 to 130 pips. 1.26 falls short of that range. 1.2670 is more like it.
3. Equity markets will be bullish today... no doubt about it. That's USD negative until we know what Benny is going to say.
4. The next significant supply zone is 1.2660/1.2680 area
5. A move to 1.2670 area today will create a bearish Hidden Divergence on the daily chart.
6. Last but not least, I feel it in my bones.
