people just realised $ is equally bad that and technically the bounce was due

the tape has been warning of this bounce for days.

the trick was finding the right time to enter as always.

What is worth to mention now is that S&P 500 is about to close under 1.284, which would suggest further weakness. Good news for EURO bulls.

again i can understand the harsh words to the EA. but what you see here is foward testing. not backtesting. there is a big difference in that.

the calculation behind it is that no matter what position you open you will get out of it. that is the thinking behind it.

also it is partly a hedging EA. however it uses many strategies together to fix DD and take profit, but in a way of math and does not use any indicators at all. it closes single trades, but also baskets. also sometimes it closes a basket in minus as you can see in the report. it is all part of the calcualtion.

however overall forumala works so far, that can not be denied yet. we had ranging and a 1000 pip down move on eurusd so far from april 12th that the Ea started. some big gaps in the weekend too.

as said before the only thing that can break this Ea is when a broker closes your server which happens on occasion. this is something out of the Ea its hands. an Ea can not predict when a broker suddenly close down a server and 1 minute later is back up. trade logic gets reset.

anyway Ea keeps on running and we will see how the next weeks will go wont we

if Ea gets crushed you will see the report here as well, but so far EA wins

Very interesting moves ...

1.2294 (H 43) did spend us ideally 1.2417 - 1.2438 (G 38 and H 36) ...

Daily ZigZag Probability did even flip above the numbers at the oposite column ...

This indicates further scope to the upside ...

I am both a trader and a software engineer (MS in CS).. I did try the EA path and I couldn't make it work.. Maybe I'm too stupid, or maybe I should try again...lol..

My take on it, from what I've observed, it's very hard to beat the market with it.. The only way, maybe is a high frequency approach, but that requires millions of dollars in software development and hardware.. and you still have to "adjust" the software.. ahh.. that's trading isn't it?

I have a programming background as well...and also have the same problem. If there is an automated answer (without hedging) I have yet to find it.

I don't know.. I'm still thinking it out... In my previous life I developed some very complex system integration, millions of transactions/hour, so I am not a novice.. I also have family working in the trading industry.. Their "automated" models are are based on very complex mathematical financial models...

I interviewed once with one of these firms (this was a high freq. firm).. The development team was pretty much made of PHDs from MIT.. So you're talking very heavy duty stuff..

Oh, I remember now something interesting from that interview.. They still had traders... But the traders were "driving" the software, kinda like a car gas/brake/stir etc... So...
