The new monthly pivots came out today. We will see how that affects price action. Should be interesting. Every trading system needs a fixed system and a dynamic system to be successful. We have our dynamics in the slope indicator and fixed in pivot/s/r lines. We also have both in the MA who fix themselves similar to trendlines until they are broken and then reset themselves to the new price dynamic. Put them all together and we try to have the best view of all these different worlds. Let's see how it all turns out.

Mixed results on my opposite trades tonight. some winners some losers. My aud/cad and usd/jpy trades all just missed my set TP lines. Cant seem to get the hit the tp thing right. Probably had 5 or 6 misses on those this week. I had to close manually almost all my profitable trades.

Ended with 1044 pips gained this week and increased my account by 5.7%. That equates to over 22% a month. My win ratio was around 73% But that included a couple of losses I took when I accidentally had two MT4 come up on my screen and the EAs entered two separate trades at once. I closed 5 of the double trades for minute losses but that changed my win ratio from 78 down to 73%. Will have to think about increasing my lots sizes some now that I am gaining experience and confidence with the system. Time for bed.

Great results Bob, my goal at this point is 10% and i was able to close May with 11%. Very glad i found your method. THANKS A MILLION for all you do. In regards to not hitting TPs i have being going only for about 70 - 80 % of what is available (the other band of the TMA for 1H trades or the next W/M pivot,S or R for 4H or Daily) and i am getting good results with it; I know i might be leaving some pips on the table but i hate to have great winners become loosers or close them for small profit. I think the use of this method, the combination of trading very small and therefore being able to have SL with plenty of room has done the trick for me. I am very excited to say the least. First, thanks for this system and method. I am loving it. It has kind of disciplined me in trading forex (I am disciplined trading stocks though).
My only concern is that this looks too good to be true and seems like using this I may never be in loss any week (if not day). What do you have to say? You have been using this since when? Have you had a very disappointed day / week so far? Please share the results for those.

FWIW, due to the week jobs report and GDP report this week, I think the market may start to price in QE3 once again. This should see the dollar weaken against the majors. Any positive news on Greece election expectations would accelerate EUR gains vs the dollar under this scenario. Hence, if the focus shifts back to the US economy it may take some heat off of the crisis in Europe in the short term. This should play out into the Greek elections (EUR may get volatile leading up to the mid month elections and I may avoid that pair after next week) and the next FED meeting. I do not expect QE3 to materialize at this time because it's lack of affect on employment and the fact that the stock indices have not been tanked by the crisis. I am keeping an eye on commodity pairs, oil, and gold for the first two weeks of June. Just my .02.

Welcome to our thread. Page 1 Post 1 has the newest update. The test version has been removed and the newest version is now there. The new Baluda slope indicator and some test indis have been included. You will find that most of the updates were cosmetic and the indis were redesigned to use less computer RAM. Enjoy.

it is the first signing in but i have been following the tread for a week. trading live with just 0.1 micro and two days gave me 240 pips. what i am impressed about is that you took constructive criticism and built a winning system. it also impressed me that you are a giver encouraging others to do the same and that is commendable. As you pour out to others may it return to you a hundredfold.

So far, the only losing trades were during the 2 days of retracement of EU, (Monday and Tuesday), other than that, all positive pips. Many of them hit either BE+10 or jumping stops.

So, my thoughts are: I will have to fine tune my MPTM settings or, NO SL, just babysit the trades till price is far enough b4 setting of MPTM. Or just set BE+1 for MAXIMUM tight trades for a longer haul trades.

This coming week, I will use Shelly's basket for asian, london and ny's opening trades. ON my live account. Tested on demo over 2 weeks, results were a BLAST! DD was low too. Kudos to Shelly and gang too.

Have anyone ever do any backtest? I have tested 6 pairs and am getting quite some unrealistic results in all of them, and that includes group 1 pairs. In 20-30 trades for various pairs I can have only 1-3 losses... Try doing some backtest if you are willing, so that we can compare results. (if you want I can post the backtest results but don't trust it)

Here are the rules of my test

In my test if I buy, both the H4 AND D1 slope must be green vice versa for sell.

Entry is cross and close across MA or Pivot(S1 R1 S2 R2 etc)... SL is at the nearest pivot S1 R1 lines etc.

1st TP is the next pivot(pivot S1 S2 etc) the 2nd TP is when the H4 slope or D1 slope is not green. When 1st TP is hit SL is moved to break even for the second position, that is it.

The test is all by the rules, accept that the SL is always at the nearest pivot.

If you only use the slope indicator you will get some erroneous results because it will show the best results of the indicator. Remember as strength builds it brings up the rest of the previous bars with it. That is what averages do. We trade based on what the slope is telling us now but the past will show more strength that it would in real time. So with your test you need to use the entrance S/R/pivot lines. My backtests I try to compare weekly pivots with monthly pivots and use those as my fixed backtest and then the slope will tell me the strength of the movement at the time. Generally I have found if the move goes beyond the 4's you have one solid trade. If it goes beyond the 8's you will multiple solid trades. The back visual test on the slope alone will not give your real time trades. However, the higher the time frame the less the problem with the slope there is in back testing. That is because by the time it hits 8 on the daily the 4H has been well above for a while. I hope this was a clear explanation. The bottom line the slope is only good for the now. What is it saying now, the past history of it will not be the same as the now.

I hope I got you right. So in a way you are telling me that the TMA slope indicator bar will be affected by future price bars? If that is so, then using the TMA slope indicator for backtest is near absolutely useless since it will change according to future bars....... Then in that case since the slope doesn't stay constant in history they will always change. I really think I misunderstood you. Did I?

AH! you are right I tested with a simulator and indeed the bars of the TMA slope changes even after it have close!
