BOJ is definitely doing something. Clicking their mouse perhaps..

One of the reason I don't play risk currency pairs during news period that involve the particular safe haven currency. Play haven/haven.

Logically speaking if US has bad data, USD should drop but USD is considered a safe haven by the markets. People flock to safe haven when there are uncertainties, uncertainties with a safe haven should only attract more money into safe haven.

At least in my mind, maybe I am just screwing with my own mind?

Well, considering stops were run yet the market reversed in force... twice... i get the feeling that larger players used htis as an opportunity to start covering some pretty significant positions....


as I said...i'd be much more cautions of going short if we hit 2300 BEFORE we moved up to a nice shorting level... as it would indicate the intentions of some of the larger players is more likley that of "cutting down euro shorts"...
and who wants to be selling at these levels when the bigger players are trimming back...?

Bullish hourly candle with a higher high and higher close and high activity (due to NFP obviously)...may be a temporary reversal

If your kicking butt... congratulations. I'm not saying following the trend is bunk. I'm just saying there was darn good reason for a bounce there, but you wouldn't know that by looking at a chart alone. You can take that information and maybe decide to incorporate it to help tell you when a potential target is likely...
wasnt directed at anyone. i agreed it was an important level. just my week worth of trades and showing people that im getting the results i want and hopefully importance of the trend impacting odds. if you have reasons for your trades thats good enough for you its not my money on the line. i no as a trader we need to believe in our own reasons. because when the shit hits the fan you need to stand by your choices. but a lot of new people are trading longs for no reason. hopefully you made some quick pips of your set up. i just prefer to let the move up happen then sell it. its almost impossible to set a tp against the trend for me. 2 things which i disagree with. trend following is good. and there were obvious reasons for resistance there. full numbers. everything is indicating oversold.

I think theiy are trying to send a very overt message to folks who decided a short USD long JPY trade was the best choice.

truth is... the shorts were right!

but, BoJ doesn't ever seem to care about such things.... oh well, it's their trillions.

My only thoughts now are...come market open next week... is the fear of a "BoJ intervention" gonna be enough to actually create a decent upward swing in usd/jpy?with this data...i tend to doubt it.
