I am curious as to why you think it will go so high? 1.29 seems like a complete 100% reversal of everything that has happened in the past 2 weeks.

Is this pure Technical? Just curious, thank you in advance.

This is definitely a contrarion trade. I don't see this happening fundamentally, however, maybe there is some technical aspect I am missing.

I do see his point. Market runs in cycles and what goes down, must come up. Eventually his target will be hit. However, I always keep in mind that the market can and will remain irrational much longer than a trader's account can remain solvent.

I therefore prefer to go with the sentiment and only shift gears when I see both a technical reason and a fundamental shift.

I see 1.262 as the cap of any retrace now. Unless something drastic happens to the USD, it's hard to imagine much strength in the Euro.

And this time around it will be different too, IMO. I bet we could see QE3, and not even see the Euro break 1.30 ever again. Why would USD flow back into Euros? Just doesn't make any sense anymore. That's why FED can't QE, or it's gold $2000+ and silver $50+ and once those levels are breached, everybody and there mother will be chasing those markets.

I can't wait for the next QE (if we ever get it). It's literally the easiest trade you will ever make. Just go long anything priced in dollars, and you can really lever up because you know there is no way its going down. NO WAY.

Of course, to trade anything more than 1 day at a time is foolish. So these calls are just for fun.

Ugliest hour of action I've seen in a while... Good luck trying to trade that.

However, looking like it's the start of a retrace to me. It's friday after all, and this market is oversold now on my daily exhaustion indicators. I mean I guess it could go a bit lower before a retrace or consolidation, but its not likely.

That strong of a reversal after negative Spain news, it does seem like it's time to go higher now.

i have bought EUR/USD at 1.3063 and since than averaging it out and currently my average is at 1.2786. should i still wait for it or close my position in loss.

is their any chance of pair going up

This market is completely insane.

Takes that long to retrace the move only to hammer half of the retrace in 3 minutes.

Edit: Forgot it was Friday AND the first of the month. Not a good combination

This is nothing. Wait until the month gets started. June is going to be quite volatile/choppy and yet probably go nowhere. Not good for a potition trader like me but excellent for intraday.
